The Terrace — Restaurant in England

This is a very pleasant and popular cafe and coffee shop.

It's about halfway down Market Jew Street, facing south, so gets lot's of sun on such days. Like most of the cafes in Penzance, and other towns and cities, it shuts at 4pm. It's shut on Sundays.

It's usually busy, the service we had was really good, and the coffee for me was excellent.

I was planning to have some lunch, - their sandwiches looked particularly good - but it was too early for me. Hence I haven't scored the food mark.

Lovely food, shame the service was bad. Order was taken item by item and made item by item instead of written down, paid for, made, and brought to table. I had to wait while each dish was prepared before giving next dish then pay, then I had to ask for a tray and carry said very heavy tray of food down a slippery metal spiral staircase myself, I couldn't even see where I was putting my feet, very hard work. The only experience I have of the place is there 5 mins ago. I took my turn in the queue and despite there being three ladies behind the counter, not one of them bothered to make eye contact or greet me in any way when it came to by turn. Very uncoordinated and amateurish. I patiently waited and then gave up waiting basically!! Penzance really sucks for food venues so was disappointed at their blatant rudeness.
