AUTISM DISCRIMINATION THRU MISMANAGEMENT AND THE ABSENCE OF APPROPRIATE TRAINING
On 12 November staff held me in the pub because I refused to accept that I owed them £16 of wine that I did not order or consume. After 15 minutes they admitted they were in the wrong but this led to me receiving a parking ticket.
They admitted liability for this but failed to follow instructions from BUCKINGHAMSHIRE COUNCIL to provide written confirmation of their liability on company headed letter. THE TWO BREWERS PUB confirmed that this document would be available for me to pick up on 15 November. However, they produced a piece of paper with signed paragraph admitting liability. Instead of resolving this situation Bogdan — the pub landlord — came rushing out of the kitchen towards me, slammed money on the table then ordered me out of the pub telling me I was banned and his colleagues verbally intimidating me as I left the building. This was in spite of me telling them I was autistic.
It is concerning that THE STONEGATE GROUP found no wrongdoing in the absence of contacting me and MARLOW TOWN COUNCIL refusing to investigate and showing no concern that this sort of discrimination exists in their community.
THE TWO BREWERS PUB has responded to my review in the way I expected as the abuse has now continued online. Therefore this location should be avoided so not to fall victim to their dangerously low level of hospitality management; and how they fail to rectify their failings. The pub has admitted liability but became abusive when they failed to follow instructions from BUCKINGHAMSHIRE COUNCIL; THE STONEGATE GROUP failed to deal with the behaviour of staff in THE TWO BREWERS PUB, deciding to protect the staff and their reputations by ignoring my complaint.
Contravening laws designed to protect vulnerable people in the community is an extremely serious matter. This “minor” event has not only exposed (autism) discrimination in MARLOW TOWN, but worryingly MARLOW TOWN COUNCIL and BUCKINGHAMSHIRE COUNCIL have decided to ignore the fact this situation has happened in the first place.
According to the EQUALITY ACT 2010 the areas of discrimination in this case are covered by the following definitions:
harassment - unwanted behaviour linked to a protected characteristic that violates someone’s dignity or created an offensive environment for them
victimisation - treating someone unfairly because they’ve complained about discrimination or harassment
Due to the serious nature of the events and the potential for THE TWO BREWERS PUB to cause more significant harm to others in the community, they need to inform THE STONEGATE GROUP that legal action will be taken against the proprietors of the pub if no appropriate response from THE STONEGATE GROUP is received after 21 days —- this is the legal requirement in such...

Read moreDisappointed with the service and quality this afternoon. I specifically chose this pub with friends because of the great outdoor area and previous positive experiences. Unfortunately, we were met with rudeness from a female staff member when we raised a simple concern.
We ordered three Aperol Spritz, a drink we're very familiar with, but what we were served tasted overly diluted—more like soda water than Aperol. The drinks were pale, lacking the usual bright orange colour and the distinct flavour of a proper Aperol Spritz.
We politely asked if a little more Aperol could be added to balance the drink, but were told we would be charged for that, and were even told it was “illegal” to adjust the drink as it was made “to spec.” If that’s truly your specification, it may be worth reviewing—it’s certainly not in line with what’s typically expected for this cocktail.
The interaction was handled poorly, with a dismissive attitude that turned what could have been a small fix into a frustrating experience. It’s a shame, as we’ve enjoyed this place before, but I won’t be returning after this. Sometimes all it takes is a bit of understanding and good...
