if you like good cheep food and a nice worm open fire than you may want to try the Vansittart. Down some back roads in the heart of Windsor, you will find a little pub that is well kept and with a nice garden. Inside you will be welcomed by friendly staff with a large range of drinks and ales. My kids were also welcome and we're offered a candy canes from off the Xmas tree, as long as they eat all the dinner
We order food from the menu which was simply but covered all area's. My daughter ordered fish and chips which was very good and far better then I expected.
Looking around the pub, it could do with the inside being updated but it is still a nice place.
If you want to go where the locals go then you won't go wrong here.

I ordered a meat feast pizza, that was too crunchy on the side. Stella Artois, that was poured in a hot (warm) glass. My fork and knife was served on the top of the pizza, and the tissue got not usable dirty. On my table there was a bottle from mineral water from the previous clients.
So, the staff , they was friendly and smiling, but FOR ME, that's not enough. That bottle stayed till my leaving. There was no soucess with the pizza. That pizza was poorly done. Tasteless unless the spicy beef on it. Take it like graduating...
