The Weir — Restaurant in England

Came across this venue today while out for a walk in the sun gasping for a chill out with a coffee and found this hidden gem,the prices for food and coffee was very reasonable and for being in a prime position it was busy with different cliental from students to office workers to dog workers especially with the sun shinning,I sat outside on the decking after ordering inside at the till where the staff bri g it out to you nice touch saves waiting for your beverage like some places and even though busy the staff were really efficient and arrived swiftly,I noticed the tables outside all full but when someone left was immediately cleared and wiped down by the staff members which is great to see and shows this place cares for it customers as leaving I got a thankyou and bye a very nice touch even though outside sunning it and the staff busy they appreciated every customer,the food looked wonderful,il definitely return to sample their delights thankyou weir you made my stroll in the park much more pleasurable...

The food and coffee here are top-notch, and service is excellent. Unfortunately, my first visit was on a very wet morning. We were amongst the first customers of the day, and grabbed a corner table. We were soon surrounded by people meeting up with their very wet dogs, several of which repeatedly shook of water all over us, the counter area and others. I didn't hear one dog owner apologise. The man next to us had a large dog he let roam the cafe unleashed including under our small table, despite us gently pointing out 3 times that his dog was wet and could he keep him at his table. We're dog owners and lovers, but just weren't expecting the lack of control by several of the dog owners . Our mistake for not realising this is obviously a cafe where the primary customer audience catered to is dog walkers, and is providing a sort of "doggy daycare" environment where dogs are permitted to do as they will. I've used this cafe alot whilst out walking the dog, and it is always fantastic! It doesn't matter if your sitting in or taking away the service is always great, the team of young staff are always very polite, friendly and efficient even in the most busiest of times! Sometimes there can be a bit of a wait but they operate in a small area and cater for a large number at times so it is only to be expected! If you want somewhere to go with your dog for a great cuppa and a lovely slice of cake then I would highly recommend this place. Plus they do doggy ice cream which my dog can't...
