We ordered plaice goujons, whitebait and calamari to start with a rock lager, followed by patatas bravas, chicken in batter with honey and duck balls all of which were really hot, fresh and crispy. This was some of the best tapas nibbles we have ever had. The seafood was so fresh and the flavour delicious. We also ordered 2 glasses of wine both of which were yummy. The views out to sea were unobstructed and it was a warm sunny evening on the terrace. Highly recommend this place if you're after a glass of something nice and a hot fresh snack. Don’t know what the food is like as never got to taste it!! Booked a meal (£30 deposit taken) whilst away for a few days and our train was delayed 3 times during our journey. We called to extend our booked time but due to this we would be too late, we advised of this and asked the reservation to changed days. A very rude no was the answer to this and the deposit was kept. I called again to try to sort this only to be called back 6 days later (already home by then) by a very rude and sarcastic employee who put the phone down on myself. Pre booked so no issues with getting a table. There is a quaint charm to the whole of the area, which means ringing a doorbell for entry makes sense. We were absolutely made to feel at home, and the food was exceptional. A Devonshire tapas is a fabulous idea, and I'll be back with the girls sometime soon. Tucked away at the end of the main beachfront, the location is perfect for those who enjoy pre or post dinner seaside walks.
