I have been here 4 times now, and every time the food and the staff have been more than excellent. 1st time: Tried the fish and pulled beef tacos, and both were amazing. Flavours were fantastic, pulled beef was beyond amazing. Very fast service, food must have come out 10 minutes after we ordered, but this was a Tuesday evening. 2nd time: Went for breakfast with a couple friends. Saw their take on eggs Benedict, using their signature cubed ‘hash browns’ instead of English muffins, and again was an absolute hit! Had the option for pulled beef again, so went for that. Partner had the English breakfast and all ingredients looked great, very high quality! Went on a Sunday, food was slower, but we did order after a large table of about 12-14 people. 3rd time: Went with my partner and this time tried the smaller plates options with cocktails. Can’t remember the day but service was exceedingly fast, feel like the first plates to come out only took 5 minutes after we ordered. The belly pork was amazing, crispy yet soft in the middle with a pork stock & cream sauce and homemade apple sauce. Fried chicken, and marmite croquettes also stood out as favourites, but everything was excellent and very well presented. Unfortunately as the evening went on and it got busier, a couple of our cocktail orders didn’t make it to the bar, but the staff were so accommodating that they apologised, and told us next time they were on the house. They really didn’t have to, but going above and beyond really made us feel great, and of course we came back! 4th time: Went for the smaller plates again for myself, my partner had a ribeye steak, which was cooked to perfection. Smaller plates menu had changed but thought that was great to accommodate for seasonal ingredients! Pork belly was back, tempura tenderstem was great but compared to the meat plates, there was so much that I couldn’t eat it all. Very filling! I also had the smaller steak plate, also cooked great at medium rare, but was a little fatty in places. Didn’t complain as I understand cuts of steak will always be different and contain some fat/sinew. However, this didn’t go unnoticed by the amazing staff, as after taking the plates away, they fired a complimentary dessert as an apology, which again they didn’t have to do, it wasnt even their fault! But the attention to detail, and the willingness to go above and beyond for each and every customer was just amazing. Everyone was in good spirits, customers and staff alike. This is truly a great addition to the quayside and one that I hope will stay for...

Read moreTo give crave it's due we did attend on a Monday night and they were short staffed. The restaurant looks very nice with a good atmosphere, the staff friendly and it is a comfortable place to spend the evening. We ordered a number of small plates and the monkfish main. The price is quite high so we were expecting something that would be worth a return visit. Unfortunately there was very little we enjoyed although nothing truly horrible. The anchovies in oil were tasteless and the oil was not great quality, the croquettes were cold, the cabbage, steak and monkfish under-seasoned. The pork belly was variable my portion was really well cooked and the sauce was delicious if a touch thin. My friends pork was very dry unfortunately. The sweet corn ribs were the highlight; grilled smokey and limey they were actually delicious. The 30 pound monkfish, however, was an odd texture and herb butter had a strange flavour. The oysters were served nicely on ice and were tasty but not cleaned very well with shell in a third of them and one still attached to the shell. Again nothing truly to make one shy away just didn't feel it was worth the price. Also to note there seems to be paid reviews on Google for...
