Fantastic pizza and prices!
Popped another Fireaway cherry 🍒 this time in Exeter. Nipped in here on a Monday night while staying in the Holiday Inn nearby.
£11.99 for a mighty fine fresh pizza. Well worth the three minute walk out as opposed to paying £15 for a frozen pizza at the Holiday Inn Express!
The two guys behind the counter were very welcoming and took my order swiftly while partying along to what I presume was their favourite music. The music was not my cup of tea, but I love to see people enjoying their work. 🧡
I had the Veggie Supreme but subbed the green olives for jalapeños. I’ve had the Veggie Supreme each time I’ve had Fireaway pizza and it’s blooming tasty! The standard version is tomato base with Mozerella, onions, peppers, sweetcorn, mushroom and green olives. Served with a garlic and herb dip.
I waited about 10 minutes roughly which was basically just the time it took to put the toppings on the base and cook it in the oven.
Top tip would probably be to call ahead and order if you’re too busy to wait ten minutes!
Schoolboy error I forgot to take a picture to prove how good it looked so instead I’ve had to attach a picture of the empty box and you can use your imagine. Apologies … not helpful!
I discovered Fireaway about a year ago. Sadly there’s not yet one close to my home in Manchester although I could take a drive out to a nearby village if the cravings got too bad! Ha. For me, Fireaway is much better value and taste than their main competitor. 🟦🟥
I’ll definitely...
Read moreSo the food is good. However, I ordered £50 worth of food via Deliveroo after a night out last saturday. Ordered at 23:17, didn't hear anything at all. About 1h30 later I checked Deliveroo and saw that it had been marked "delivered." (Fireaway do their own deliveries). I presume they had delivered to the wrong address (unless one of their drivers made off with it, but I certainly didn't receive it)..
Deliveroo tried calling them, and Fireaway said they had delivered the order and refused to help. Deliveroo wouldn't offer a refund as the restaurant had said they delivered the order. I then made 7x calls to Fireaway asking for my food or a refund (at this stage I didn't want the food, but £50 is a decent chunk). They refused each time.
Eventually my partner had to pull a Karen and tell them in an angry welsh voice that she would be coming down the next day to speak to the manager, at which point they agreed to send the food rather than refund. This was now at 3am, where really I just wanted to be asleep, but didn't want to lose £50 because Fireaway didn't deliver to the right address. Yeah the food is okay but all in all this was just a stressful and unnecessary experience and the guy I spoke to was...
Read moreThe guy serving at the counter was incredibly rude and dismissive from the moment we entered the shop. I ordered a few pizzas one of which was a build your own, the menu says you can add any toppings and as many as you want for £11.95, nothing about buffalo mozzarella costing extra, I don't mind paying more but it needs to be clear on the menu. On the huge window sticker out side it says free chicken strips for all collection orders over £20 on a tuesday, when I asked why I didn't get any he just laughed and said they are old signs and they stopped doing it around six months ago, I said surely you need to honour it still if you are displaying the signs but he just dismissed me and then ignored me. The pizza base was sloppy and under cooked. It's a shame because last time I ordered from here lost year...
