Gourmet Peri Peri & Gourmet pizza (halal) — Restaurant in Exeter

We had been travelling for almost 5 hours and we didn’t have any breakfast before we set off and we were expecting something good out of the restaurant maybe the food will be really good as they are expensive, but no, this was terrible. Our first time in Exeter we prayed our Friday prayers and looked around for halal options, they have a few other restaurants but this one sounded the best but when we got there it was alright and clean inside but the food we ordered was for the whole family and they said around 20-30 minutes which we waited without any problems but they started bringing out our food one by one and we opened them and everything was barely warm. We got the peri peri burgers which for at least the price should be a good size but this burger was very thin and the it was completely dry and we also got loaded fries which was poorly presented and we also got a burger called spicy lamb kebab which is just a minced lamb kebab put between buns. We also got one toffee milkshake just to wash down the miserable food but it was normal bottled milk in a Coca Cola cup with some only god knows what flavouring, the only thing that was good was the canned drinks which they just bought and didn’t have to do anything other than keep it cold. I used to be a regular customer and would always recommend this resteraunt. But in the recent months this place has drastically gone downhill... It seems that the workers have lost their passion for pleasing their customers.

Most recently, I ordered over deliveroo, I paid £4.99 for some olives (expecting to get my monies worth) but I was given the tiniest portion of about 20 tiny shrivelled barely seasoned olives- this is about 25p an olive... Elsewhere I could buy a big tub of high quality olives for less than £2.

They have just lost a highly valuable customer. I refuse to order from them again because I don't like...

I visited Gourmet Peri Peri by chance, and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and service. The dishes were exceptionally tasty, especially the garlic options, which were bursting with flavor. The pizza was a standout—soft, perfectly cooked, and absolutely delicious.

Service was quick and efficient, and what really impressed me was how the staff took great care regarding allergies, making sure we had a safe and enjoyable dining experience. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome throughout our visit.

Overall, a great spot for delicious food and excellent service....
