Lutzy's — Restaurant in Exeter

Having been to cafe this morning and asked about any information they could provide as my little girl has a serious peanut allergy, the manager was sent out and her attitude towards my girlfriend was awful, she said having heard the latest things in the news regarding children with serious allergies she said she would not serve my little girl. Having been very disappointed so far my girlfriend asked if she could have a hot chocolate , having checked the packaging for my little girl and we made the decision that it was safe for her we ordered some food and drinks ... we was then made to wait for almost 40minutes , staff there was very apologetic but my overall experience regarding the manager was not nice , a real bad attitude to have even more so when my 5 year old girl was stood right there , she was heart broken . I understand in one repesct , but to not even check some of the food packaging or even offer us some food that would be safe is in my opinion discrimination. I stopped here today to get a frappe - after asking if they did them as I didn’t see them on the menu, the lady behind the counter said they do. So I ordered a chocolate and hazelnut frappe with no coffee. I waited about 5 minutes before another girl came to make the drink, and honestly - I was embarrassed. It wasn’t a frappe in any sense of the word, I watched it be made, it had ice cubes in it, a squirt of hazlenut syrup, a skirt of chocolate syrup and a little milk. It was essentially a watery milky somewhat hazel nutty drink - no cream, no thick consistency which a frappe should have.. and £3.50? Please take a look around at what a frappe should be. Because this wasn’t it - and if you’re unsure, just don’t sell them. I was going to query it there and then, as I do work in a coffee shop but the staff seemed really flustered, there was a Que of around 4 people behind me who weren’t being served and I had a friend waiting for me for 10 minutes outside. One star is no reflection on the delicious coffees and cakes my friends and I enjoyed at Lutzy's last week. The service was prompt, and the idyllic views of the quay make Lutzy's an obvious choice to enjoy an afternoon treat.

However, it would be disrespectful to Lutzy's staff for me to give an any more generous star-rating. During my time, I witnessed the manager belitting a waitress, and undermining all her work. This includes shouted at the waitress 'you should know this!' whenever she asked where an order was to be taken. She appeared short tempered, and her tone wasn't welcoming at all. I could see the waitress becoming ever increasingly upset by the manager's impatience.

I don't want to fund someone who mistreats their staff like this and so will not be...
