Move — Restaurant in Exeter

When you arrive with high expectations they can only be dashed. The location makes you doubt whether it actually exists; a tiny sign above the door is your only clue to its presence in Exeter. Additionally, when you are greeted (verbally abused) by a bouncer who so obviously hates (is jealous of) the youthful and carefree, the night begins to take a slow downwards course! Our first endeavor was the visit the toilets at the establishment and to be honest I would have been better impressed with camp site facilities compared to this uncomfortable metal bucket with no toilet seat and no handwash even though it was the start of the night and the bouncer made a point of saying that they weren't open yet, I advise that they use their late opening time to remember to stock up on handwash; we may be freshers and at a zoo party but we are not animals! I would never recommend this establishment as the bouncer let down the whole evening, nothing could recover it, not that the three inflatable bananas that the 'cave' was decorated with was even close to boosting the low standards already set. Brian and the team at Move hosted our Final Monastery event "The Sunday Service 2024" Brian goes above and beyond helping promoters get the best for their night. The Sound system Is Funktion-One and the venue is of a proper underground feel. Every member of staff is happy and always on hand to help. The door staff are vigilant but not rude and pushy like a lot of venues which helps massively with the overall vibe of punters through the door, all while keeping them safe. We hired both Move and Bomba and had the terrace open as well and everyone who came to the event loved both venues equally and had an awesome night. can not recommend enough.....Support your venues and they will support you.
