Royal Oak — Restaurant in Exeter

Nice food.nice location. Would have been better if the cook wasn't so rude and sarcastic. This pub is known for this so normally I would ignore it. But today was to much. I was laughed at and and was targeted. I forgot to wear my mask walking in. And on my way back out to the garden.after ordering she was very rude. I did apologize. However I want to strongly state that she wasn't wearing one either nor the people she was laughing with and didn't say anything to the people that walked in and without one either. So sadly I feel this is enough and won't bother going there anymore.I really didn't need that today. So just be aware of this and apart from it being a typical sports bar and clickiness it's ok. Very disappointing ☹ Stated catered for GF but couldn't even supply a slice of bread or a roll yet still get charged the full price ! Ordered the Sunday roast , no alternatives offered for the food I couldn't eat & they decided to treat anyone who ordered the same as me to treat them as GF ! Having already told them that I was the only Coeliac, we then had to ask for yorkshire pudding etc. One person waiting on tables that was run off his feet. Would I go again.... Amazing time with my husband Marco we are spend a lovely time in Royal Oak. High qualification work on the service plus always smiling and support with menu and drinks. Recommended for all, music on amazing level voice so you can talk. Amazing food and fresh cold beer. That from a chipper prices.
