I writing to express my disappointment with the service I received at your restaurant on 7 February at approximately 18:00.My friend and I dined at your establishment and experienced unprofessional service that made us feel neglected and unwelcome.
When we arrived, the restaurant was not particularly busy, with only about four or five occupied tables. However, the staff ignored us and prioritized other tables that arrived after us. A server only approached us to ask about drinks but did not inquire about our food order. We waited for an excessive amount of time without any follow-up from the staff.
To make matters worse, the table next to us, which arrived later, received their food before us. On our table, four wine glasses were left untouched even though we had only ordered Coca-Cola, and the menus remained there without being cleared. No staff member removed the glasses until we had to call them over ourselves.
Later, when my friend arrived, we placed our food order through the restaurant’s online system. However, not a single staff member came to check if our food was satisfactory or if we wanted additional drinks. Our table was completely ignored throughout the meal. I also noticed that the person in charge that day, wearing a pink jumper, was actively serving and engaging with other tables but deliberately avoided ours.
Although the food was good, I could not fully enjoy it due to the poor service. The experience felt more like a self-service restaurant or takeaway rather than a proper dine-in establishment. If I had known that I would be treated this way, I would have simply ordered delivery instead. It was disappointing to pay for a dining experience that lacked any form of hospitality or attention from the staff.
One concern I sincerely hope is not the case is that my friend and I were the only two Asian customers in the restaurant. I would like to believe that the differential treatment we experienced was not due to racial bias. However, every customer deserves equal and fair service, regardless of their background.
I hope you take this complaint seriously and work on improving your restaurant’s service to ensure that all customers feel valued and treated...
Read moreZizi Pizza is, without a doubt, the worst dining experience I’ve had in years. From start to finish, it was a chaotic mess, a masterclass in how not to run a restaurant.
First, half the items on the menu weren’t available. How does a pizza restaurant run out of pizza basics? Forced into ordering more elaborate (and expensive) dishes, we reluctantly made our choices. Then came the dessert menu—an absolute disaster with only two options available. Seriously?
After a painful 1-hour wait, the food finally started arriving. Except, of course, they messed up one of our orders. Did they apologize? Nope. They just silently went back to the kitchen to fix it, leaving one person in our group of ten to awkwardly wait while the rest of us tried to enjoy our meals. Spoiler: we couldn’t.
When the last plate finally arrived, a full ten minutes after the rest of us had finished eating, it was so salty it was inedible. No apology, no complimentary side or gesture while they "fixed" their mistake—just an indifferent shrug from the staff. Even asking for a few glasses of water turned into an ordeal. We never got them.
The staff were clearly overwhelmed, and honestly, I felt bad for them. The restaurant was packed with what must have been 100 guests, and there were only four waiters. It was a complete logistical nightmare, with distracted and unattentive staff struggling to keep up. This isn’t the fault of the front-of-house team; it’s a failure of management, pure and simple.
To make matters worse, the beer selection was nonexistent—literally zero. How do you run a pizza restaurant without a beer option?
Zizi Pizza is a blatant example of a commercialized mess that prioritizes packing in customers over providing any semblance of quality or service. If you’re thinking of eating here, don’t. Save yourself the frustration, and find a place that knows how to treat its customers and staff...

We asked if they were taking cash to the person who seated us, she said it was card only but would check if it can be done. She came back and told us cash would be fine.
I had already drawn out the money before arriving at the restaurant for our meals and didn't want to use my card again. In the end I went ahead and used my card to save trouble as they were talking very loud and causing a scene as if we were a bother. (She said loudly: I TOLD YOU, YOU HAVE TO PAY ME) As if we were children.
(I didn't know it mattered who took the payment, as long as we pay for our meals) seemed very irrational.
On our way out we decided to get dessert and an extra meal to go, but I told her I'd do that 1 in cash as they already agreed we could pay cash.
The 2 persons who dealt with us was very rude and loud. They made it seem as is we were causing them trouble so we declined the extra meal and dessert to go and went and spent our money else where.
When dealing with customers you don't shout and act as if the customer is a bother. its very impolite
It is your duty to make customers feel comfortable and safe.
Also the lady kept coming over to us as if she wanted us to hurry up and eat and leave.
THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER AND VERY EMBARRASSING. 1 BAD ATTIDTUDE CAN COST YOU THE LOSS OF 4 CUSTOMERS! Doesn't matter if your food is good, respect everyone!!!
Very ill mannered!!!!😐
It seems these guys are very uncomfortable serving black people. (All we wanted was just to was have a nice evening) didn't see whites getting that treatment, we left earlier than planned as I was quite embarrassed.
Portsmouths Zizi's is the same kind of behaviour, they don't like...
