Saucy Dough Gravesend — Restaurant in Gravesham

Worst experience for takeaway. Unfortunately had a very bad experience even after ordering from them before. Placed an order through a third-party app told the time for the pizzas about 45 minutes later.  Rang up 10 minutes after the time they should have been here, told they were next to go out. Rang up 30 minutes later and told they were still waiting to go out. It was at this point that I had to go and collect the pizzas myself that had now been sitting on the side for about 1 hour. Told it was due to driver issues. I was told the pizzas were still hot, and I did feel the outer edge of the box which did feel hot. But 8 minutes later when I got the pizzas home I realised that the middles were cold and they were very stodgy. I called saucy dough and explain this, they refused a refund as it was through a third party, but on this occasion then managed to find a driver to arrive at my house within 10 minutes demanding to take the pizzas back even though no refund had been authorised or offered. Couldn't get a driver to deliver the pizzas in an hour, but to take them back not even 10 minutes! It’s the first time I’m ordering from Saucy Dough and I must say I’m a bit disappointed. I’ve ordered a mushroom and ham pizza , dough was nice , ham had a good quality but it had a strong garlic flavour.I was thinking I haven’t paid attention and it says it on the menu . It doesn’t ... I’ve also ordered a portion of spicy bbq wings(again that’s all it says on the menu ).I was expecting some wings coated in hot sauce ,but instead they had tons of onions on top . Maybe some people like it but I hated the taste . I think those things should be specified on the menu .The order was made via Uber eats and I waited over an hour for the food to arrive . I called the restaurant and they’ve told me that he’s on his way .I looked on the window and there was a car parked 1 meter from our house ,with a couple inside that were talking and having fun. I was really surprised to see that after I called the guy moved the car 1 meter in front of our house and knocked on the door . We made a 50 minute round trip for this Pizza as we heard so many good things. Turns out, it was a massive waste of time and money.

Firstly, the person who answered didnt know what Friairelli but confidently told me it was a type of mozzarella. Turns out, its a part of the broccoli family. So instead of a type of mozzarella on our Bruschetta, we got a type of broccoli.

Secondly, the pizza itself was not great. Overly salty and made our mouths feel like we had put on salt ontop before eating the slice.

Thirdly, when calling the restaurant to let them know our thoughts, we were met with silence on the other end, followed by, "OK, is there anything else we can help you with".

Overall, not the greatest slice you will find, was also greasy and heavy. Not what you expect when paying nearly £30 for a pizza!

Service was not the best either, especially as we called the restaurant to give them our feedback, and there was not even an apology.
