Now what do you expect when you go to Windermere ? Beautiful scenic nature , fresh countryside air, and warm people !

Well that’s what I thought, till my tummy started to have the pangs for food.

The homemade nachos from bandito burrito just decided to make merry in my tongue and blast their flavours leaving me hopelessly drowning in greed for wanting more of it!

I liked the name Bandito burrito , and I entered with the hopes that this cook right here would be the bandito to steal my hunger away , but guess what , they stole my money away with some amaaaazing food!

I think now when you say Windermere for me , more than parks and treks , I would remember this food, and sometimes would take the odd train from piccadilly to Windermere just for their burrito.

The staff are really warm and welcoming and they were even sweet enough to guide us the best transpiration to Keswick !!

The service was very good. Now let's talk about the food: I have ordered a quesadilla and they brought me a burrito. I said I am fine with it as long as it's good - it wasn't! First of all bland, extremely unseasoned, no beans in it and no guacamole (you need to pay extra for it). People who ate proper mexican food before know it bursts with flavour - not the case there (could not taste the cumin or coriander or paprika or lime). I left more than half and that because I was hungry and when I was asked if there's something wrong with it I told her the truth which she couldn't handle and replied that a customer before me said it was the best thing he ever had. Well maybe that guy had beans on toast and fish and chips his whole life and he was blown away by pulled chicken in a wrap with a bit of mayo (advertised as chipotle mayo) and rice but I wasn't because I know better and I ate better! P.S: the waitress also said I am rude; if telling the truth equals being rude so I am. Incredible. Came here this time last year on our way to Keswick having been the year before and meant to review each time. Better late than never. Having travelled from the Yorkshire Dales to Keswick this added at least 45 minutes just to come here and that should say it all. The flavours are so good , light tasty food that isn’t trying to kill your with grease or calories . I had spicy beef and my wife chicken and chorizo . We also tried the Tajin hassleback potatoes. Small soft baked hassleback potatoes, unbelievably tasty and we got plenty. My burrito was packed, full of delicious flavours that change with each mouthful. Crunchy, soft, chewy textures . Every mouthful is different but each one as good as the last. You can pick up fast food all over and much of it is less expensive, but for value this is exceptional .
