AVOID. FULLSTOP.
Absolutely dreadful customer care/ service. Food was o-kay. However the aftercare was unbelievable - not at all in a good way. This was by far the worst experience of mine in any UK restaurant.
I will start.
We were settling about order. At that point I was rudely called upon, 'YES??' as if we were wasting their time, sitting there or something.
For ordering, I asked if meat was halal or not. I got a rude answer - saying I should check the label outside. If that says halal, it's halal! To best of my knowledge, many places sell halal items without advertising.
At the end of our meal, I requested a bag to take remaining food away. I was reluctantly provided one. Then I asked another one, as everything didn't fit in one. Then the manager made an expression to a worker as if 'give and get rid of them'. He also made a gesture like this and said something which I didn't understand in his language. I asked the worker what manager had said, to which the worker said he didn't know!
One of my group members requested a disposable paper cup to use in toilet, the young worker said he didn't have any. Although we were given 4, for drinking coke, minutes earlier!
some of my group members visited the toilet. Just before I went to visit, manager came around and locked the washroom using a knife, right as I was going to enter! while mumbling something! as if we were using it too much. When I asked he said that it would need cleaning but as I went in (after I said I needed to use it, he opened it reluctantly), I clearly heard him mumbling something angrily.
cash payments only. Why??? Is it difficult to organize a digital payment receiving system??
we dined in, but was given takeaway boxes. The treatment we received was just horrendous. awful!!
I do not know if he is a regular worker or owner of this restaurant or what - I frankly don't care. Never visiting it again. My recommendation would be - AVOID!!! Thanks...
Read moreTHE WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE EVER. Visited this place on 27/11/23 with my wife, the lamb shish was pricey, but the kebab was soft moist and full of flavour. There were two senior chefs and a young black guy as cashier who were all very good and professional. This prompted us to come in the next day i.e 28/11/23. We were very tired and hungry after a whole day of touring. Not wanting to experiment we went came back here and ordered the same. On this occasion, there were none of the guys from the previous day. There was a young chef apparently named Fatih. He served us 2 portions of the lamb shish very quickly. We started to eat and found the meat very hard. There were just 4 pieces of meat on each plate. out of the 8 pieces in total only 4 pieces were soft and edible. The remaining 4 were very tough and were very difficult to chew. We informed Fatih who shot back "what do you want me to do, I can't do nothing". We asked him if I could speak to the manager. He said he was the manager. We were so taken aback by his attitude we were completely stunned. We were forced to eat the hard meat as we were very hungry and the other shops closed nearby. After that we asked the chef his name he said his name was Fatih and told us to come back again. There was another customer/friend who he was chatting with him and they were both laughing at us. I told him I will complain about his attitude towards customers. They were both laughing at us and told us to do what we want to do. He then said " look you guys finished everything so please come again!!!" We have been completely let down by this horrible experience. We hope no one else faces this torrid episode ever. Utterly...
Read moreI recently visited Popeyes Pizza in Windermere and had a delightful experience. One of the highlights was discovering that they offer halal options, which made it a convenient and reliable choice for me and many others seeking halal food.
The restaurant's ambiance was warm and welcoming. The staff was friendly, attentive, and quick to assist with any questions. The menu was diverse, featuring a wide variety of pizzas, including both creative and unique topping combinations as well as classic favorites.
I decided to try their signature Popeyes Special, and it exceeded my expectations. The crust was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, while the toppings were generous, fresh, and bursting with flavor. The balance of spices and ingredients showcased a well-thought-out recipe that catered to both adventurous and traditional palates.
In addition to the excellent food, the service was prompt, and the prices were reasonable given the quality and portion sizes. It's evident that Popeyes Pizza takes pride in both their culinary offerings and customer satisfaction. I also appreciated the clean and comfortable dining area, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
Overall, my visit to Popeyes Pizza in Windermere was a positive one, and I would highly recommend it to anyone in the area. Whether you're specifically looking for halal options or simply in the mood for a delicious pizza, Popeyes Pizza is a great choice that...
