This establishment is located in Lansdown. It is quite central and just a short stroll from the main bus and train station🚂

It is spread across multiple floors. 🏢 There is a spacious bar area with ample seating. There are many reasonably priced food options 🍽 and excellent service. A decent selection of beverages 🍸 👌 at reasonable prices.

The staff are consistently friendly and accommodating💯

Downstairs, there is a medium-sized nightclub. 💃 This venue hosts a variety of events, featuring all genres of music, from raves to rock bands. It's an ideal location to launch a new event. The owners are community supporters 🎶

It is very close to the university campus, with regular buses and a reliable security team. It is open to all age groups and has a pleasant atmosphere. There is seldom any trouble.🙏

There are restrooms both upstairs and downstairs. This venue is not entirely wheelchair accessible as there are stairs. However, I am confident that the staff would do everything possible to ensure that your day or evening there is enjoyable. The actual building has been a town favourite for decades. I have been there for a non alcohol beer . Hoping to see some live music (the stand outside triggered me :) it was Tuesday, no live music.

Bartender is a legend , kicked somebody out because acting violently, helped me with pool machine , and told me to not bother th fishes 😀

But the vibe is a bit dead , maybe because it was Tuesday, not a lot of people , mainly smokers going back and fourth from the counter to the smoking area.

Did not feel very happy , except for pool.

Pretty boring if you are a non drinker and not smoker , and have a pro-life tendency attitude rather I intoxicate myself with beers and smoke.

Thank you cave! I held my birthday party at Bears on 22/4/23 in the upstairs room(s) and it was fantastic! The whole team were attentive and welcoming to myself and my guests, the organisation on the day and day before with manager Jon was stress free, especially with security Martyn and Sam making sure the whole night ran smoothly, I could not recommend it enough. I was able to bring my own computer to have control of the sound system and TV which was not jumbled at all with the loud music elsewhere in the venue! I had a fantastic birthday and will be back very soon, likely dressed somewhat less piratey but...
