Cafe Memo — Restaurant in Great Britain

I used to love going to memo,s. After todays visit, im sorry to say that i will never set foot in there again. The food, was at best, less than average, but plienty of it. A small breakfast and fish and chips with 2 coffees was over £21, was more than i had expected to pay. And i was served a coffee that had a deffinate unpleasant taste to it. I returned the coffee and asked if i could have a coke instead. The waitress, then came to my table and said there was nothing wrong with the coffee and said that i could have a coke, but it would cost me £60 (she ment £1.60 but her english was not the best). When i suggested that they actually owed me 60p because the coke was cheaper than the coffee, she walked away. Then another woman bought the meal to the table and i again asked for a coke, as my coffee was awful. I was again told that it was ok, Presumbly she had tasted it? and offered it back to me, ignoring my complaint. Now. I dont know if again, something had been lost as english was obviously not her first language, but she again just walked away. Anyway. Thats my little rant over except to say that i am saddened that the staff there allowed a customer to walk away very dissatisfied and dissapointed with the food, coffee and service. It would have been ok, if i would have been offered an alternative to the drink they called coffee. So they lost this customer for in effect 60p. This took place at lunchtime on a weekday. I ordered on uber eats, but there seems to be no direct review system there, so I'm sharing here instead because there's a couple of things I feel need mentioning. Food was great, all arrived hot, kids enjoyed their sausage and chips and the breakfast was good if not spectacular. Burger and chips was pretty middle of the road, but roughly what I expected, so no real complaints there. They did not deliver a cup of tea I ordered as part of my breakfast, and I can't stress this bit enough. Avoid milkshakes like the plauge. We ordered strawberry and it was about the worst thing that's ever entered my mouth and that is absolutely no word of a lie. Despite the product description it contained nothing even remotely resembling ice cream either. So yeah, I would absolutely recommend this place for food. Went here absolutely ages ago but had to review because it was that good and I have told many people that Memo's does the best cooked breakfast I have ever had. Absolutely delicious, everything was cooked to perfection and not a spot of grease on the plate, its photo-worthy food. I will go out of my way to visit memo's again if I am in the Swansea general area, none can compare. The customer service is very warm and friendly and is another reason I will visit again, very nice people working here.
