🍽️ Review:
Well I think I made my thoughts pretty clear at the start, I quite simply love this place!
Everything we ordered was bloody incredible, so much flavour to every single dish. Flavour is not something they skimp on!
The highlights for us though would definitely have to be the Bao Buns and the Tacos, loved both of these! I think we could have honestly just eaten a plate full! 😋
In terms of our mains - it was all about the Kebabish Mania, this was just incredible and an absolute feast. This may have been one of the best kebabs I've ever had. Complemented with peri chicken and chips. It was just perfect. 👏
We also really enjoyed the Mocktails and that Biscoff Milkshake was to die for, we were a little bit gutted we didn't get to try the desserts but we were absolutely stuffed 😂

Read moreI went to Chickaros in Cardiff for Iftar yesterday. The service i received was absolutely appalling. I cant believe they would treat customers like this. So i rang to book a table for 2 but they told me we dont take booking just come before iftar time. When i got there they said no tables and 10 mins wait even though there was only 2 tables with customers and the rest was all empty. So my husband asked what about the other tables and one of staff said its booked for other customers!!
So we waited and it was nearly time to break our fast so my husband went to order the food while they were getting the table ready thinking we can have our food as soon as we get a table but they said we cant order until we sit at a table. So i went to ask for some water atleast so we can break our fast but the person at the til said they can give me water because we dont have a table. I had to explain to the person at the till i need to break my fast but she was being rude then eventually gave me water which i had to pay for anyway so she could have given me the water. Anyways moving forward we went to table and it was clean so we asked for them to clean the table and waiter was being rude.
And they funny thing is it was all asian waiters so they clearly would have an idea about...
Read moreThe long awaited Chickaros turned out to be…kind of meh? The problem is that we went there for iftar. Now I understand that having to get food ready for people who are all expecting it at the same time isn’t easy, but it seems as if they didn’t even fire the dishes until after iftar time. They should’ve staggered it better and brought out the earlier orders 5-10 mins before iftar so that the later orders(i.e. us)weren’t waiting 30-40 minutes. The food itself was alright. I enjoyed the items on my Ramadan dish well enough(the lamb chops were exemplary, the chicken park was chewy) but a looot of their food items are saucy. Which means the food often ends up tasting samey. And then you end up thinking: “these are just store bought chips tossed in a basic dynamite style sauce? This is just a chicken goujon probably from the cash and carry? What am I paying 20 quid for?” So I don’t really think the enjoyment of the food matches up to the price of the food. Would I eat there again? I mean yeah, probably. Look, I’m greedy and I never said the food tasted like crap, it was just kind of average. And not many places do halal bao buns so at some point I’m gonna try some of the other items...
