Came here for the speakeasy vibes after calling up for a reservation (which honestly was not needed as there were tables empty when we arrived) but when we got here, the downstairs main attraction area was closed for renovations which was disappointing as that’s what I asked for on the phone but wasn’t told. I was also told “it’s okay, the decor is the same upstairs which judging from the videos is definitely not the case. Fair enough, we still stayed, service was great, staff were friendly but this might be me being an old head but £15 for 6 cubes of lamb meat, a small handful of onions and salad, naan the size of my palm is a rip off? The meat was good, nothing to write home about but portion sizes are not great at all especially for the Chenjeh kebab. Fries were really good though. But yeah, judge from the picture yourself but I really felt ripped off for the portion and quality of food and especially wanting to arrive for the attraction of a speakeasy only to be told on arrival it’s not available. Pretty disappointing, unsure if we’ll return.

Came in today and ordered. The chefs were defrosting a table top fridge and the shop was generally unclean. The counter closest to the cleaning was very dirty and they made wraps on this without cleaning and without greaseproof paper initially. Later on they wrapped the bread with greaseproof paper. The counter top was not wiped with any spray or anything. They had gloves on but they handled everything with the dirty gloves. One chef put his hand into the salad and shook it about, there were no utensils for him to use. The other chef scooped the rice out with his hand and put into the paper bowl again no utensils. When I challenged him he said he had gloves on. The entire experience was off putting I feel like £40 has gone down the drain. The fact of the matter is that the chefs were very unhygienic Infront of customers I do wonder what happens when customers are not looking. It was not busy now I know why. One manager followed me out, I asked if he was the manager he said no, only to ask if he could park when I left. Priorities are all wrong.

Food is very good. Some names of dishes are wrong like bbq Lamb chops are named Shashlik. For food quality and ambiance it's 10/10. No complaints at all about anything BUT one, that's food portion. Even on their menu it's recommended to order two portions for one person, does it make sense? I mean £9 for one Kubeda kebab and 100% two are needed for one normal/average person, so £18 for one thing is too much. £15 for 4 pieces of lamb chops, is unfair. Specially when they r very tasty and juicy. Lamb shish or boneless boti was not upto the standards, it was not juicy or as soft as it should have been. It can be fixed very easily without even penny loss of profits (I gave suggestion to person in charge there) But apart from this issue, I totally recommend this place for all purposes, let it be a romantic dinner or a family one or friends get together.

Possibly the worst dining experience I have had in the West End. I took my old boss and colleague to Habibi as had seen it on TikTok. I arrived slightly late and my colleagues were sitting with their jackets on. It was cold. Not only cold - light gusts of cold air hit us from an external door which was ajar. I joked and said the food will be even better with our jackets on!

My colleague asked if the chicken was breast or thigh and she was told (to her delight) it was breast meat. My old boss ordered prawns. Bread and Hummus were lovely. But temperature was dropping.

We asked if the heating could be increased. The kind waiter said he would check.

The food came. The chicken was thigh meat. Not an issue for me - bigger issue for my colleague. She ended up picking at it and leaving half. The prawns were cool. My boss said to the waitress she was nervous the prawns were either not cooked or were cooked but had cooled. She apologised and took the plate away. 4 mins later she came back - apologised again - and said the chef said the prawns were cooked “but must have cooled waiting for service”. At this point the prawns were now cold. No offer to reheat or cook. She left them to the side and ate the rest. We thought at this point we should just leave as now it was only me eating.

The door behind me was then opened and the gust was uncomfortable to say the least. I asked the waiter if it could be closed. His hands were full with plates so I offered to close it and he thanked me for the assistance.

And then it went downhill! The door was opened again. The gust was so strong my napkin blew off the table. My boss (now with her jacket zipped) asked the manager (a petite female with some behavioural challenges) if she could close the door. She responded by continuing to clear the table behind and shouting at us “theres a member of staff out there and the door needs to stay open”. The tone and look of distain was horrific. I calmly responded to her by saying the restaurant is freezing to which she said “the door has only been opened twice” then stormed off. The episode was embarrassing and unnecessary. She was ushered off and a very kind waiter came and apologised to us.

In summary: Food was mediocre, environment was cold and uncomfortable and service from the female manager was thee worst i have ever experienced. We will not be back and in fact will be warning others. The one star in my rating was for the hummus - i...

The concept of Habibi is intriguing, but its execution falls very short. We were eager to experience the restaurant, only to be disappointed. Due to unforeseen traffic and parking challenges, we arrived just under 15 minutes past our reservation time. Upon our arrival, we were informed that our table had been given away, a decision that seemed a bit bizarre, especially considering the lack of a clear policy regarding late arrivals. The staff member's dismissive attitude, suggesting that "most people would call," was both impolite and condescending, to be frankly honest.

Despite promising to seat us in ten minutes, we ended up waiting for forty-five minutes. Once seated, we encountered a series of minor yet frustrating service issues. Our table was inadequately set, and our request for additional napkins was met with a single napkin, incredibly disappointing given there were eight of us. The lack of proactive service was also evident. We asked the waiter if the food we ordered would be enough for our party of eight, and he indicated it would be plenty, but it really wasn't, so we had to order a second time, which is a first.

While the food itself was good, the overall dining experience was marred by poor service and unreliable practices. Habibi possesses the potential to be a truly exceptional dining establishment. However, it must prioritise customer service and consistency to ensure a dining experience that lives up to the quality of...

Visitied Habibi today with the family after hearing so much about it on Tik Tok. The ambience of the restaurant is nice but the food is mediocre. The staff appeared to be helpful but the management of the establishment was poor.

We placed orders which were per portion but multiple portions were served in one plate which was confusing. We were not advised of this until when queried that some of the members were still waiting on their food, the waiter responded saying that one plate has multiple portions.

Restaurant seating is located in the basement which does not provide for phone signals. The establishment has wifi but does not offer access to customers.

There was a misunderstanding at the time of making payment too being advised that the deposit taken at time of booking will be refunded but the email confirmation advising that the bill will take the deposit into account and it will not be refunded.

Overall, nice ambience with mediocre food. Place has potential but seems like the management may have rushed to open the establishment without addressing...
