Read moreWe only decided on eating here during the afternoon and picked the venue based on not only the varied menu but number of fantastic reviews.
We booked a table via the website and shortly after received confirmation of our booking.
On arrival at the restaurant we were instantly made to feel welcome, because we'd turned up slightly earlier than our booking our table wasn't quite ready but we were shown to another table where we were able to order drinks and look at the menu.
Our reserved table didn't take long to become available and we were made to feel really welcome and had a nice introduction to the venue.
After placing our order a charming called Ali came over and spoke about our visit, he really made it feel like we had been welcomed into his own home.
All the staff we interacted with were all genuinely polite and helpful and couldn't do enough for us. This was just for us you could see every person in the restaurant was treated like a very valued customer.
The only tough part was choosing what to eat, there was so much variety and the dishes were extremely well priced.
For our starters I had Sucuk which was slices of spicy sausage with a very tasty salad, my partner had whitebait again with salad, both portions were massive and very tasty. For our mains my partner had Chicken Princess which was chicken stuffed with cheese, vegetables and herbs with a side of rice and salad, I had the Seafood kebab which was kebab skewers containing cubes of swordfish, salmon and king prawns with a side of chips and salad.
If we go to Cardiff again with the time to eat I'm sure we'll definitely be...
Read moreWe choose this restaurant because it is halal and got good reviews on Google, to celebrate a friends' graduation. We had booked for 8.30pm reservation for 4 people, well ahead of time. My friend has a disability and he walks with support. When we reached at 8.35pm, we were asked to wait because apparently all the tables were full. We were told that we would be seated as soon as a table clears. At about 8.50pm, i told the manager about my friend and how he was a bit tired and would like to be seated. We still waited a good 15 minutes after that. What is the point of reservation/booking a table well in advance?
The food too was okayish- both presentation and taste wise. We have had far better middle eastern and Turkish food elsewhere in the city. My husband ordered the pear dessert, i laughed out loud, it looked so bad, Just sliced pear with a scoop of ice-cream on the side.
Only the waiting stuff were polite and friendly, and seemed like they were short staffed and running and managing everywhere.
In short, definitely not a 4.6 star worthy, that too in the heart of city centre. and not disability friendly, the bathroom...
