Me and my partner decided to pop into this restaurant, considering it was newly opened and had already had some excellent reviews. We entered with high expectations considering it was opened by the owner of Noodle Camp, an already established and excellent noodle bar. Needless to say, it lived up to them. My partner started with the Teriyaki Chicken, and I had the Takoyaki. Both were excellent, and the portion sizes were good, too. Then, for main, she had the Katsu Chicken Curry (pictured), and I had the Teriyaki Salmon Donburi (pictured). The Donburi came accompanied by Miso Soup, which had a subtle yet delicious flavour. The mains themselves were lovely, the sauces were not overbearing at all, and everything was cooked to perfection. Prices were good, too, with the bill coming to about £45 with drinks included. If you're near Salisbury, and want to support a local business, I'd highly recommend stopping by for some food here.

I finally made it to this restaurant that I’ve been wanting to visit since it opened, and I’m so glad I did—it was such a fantastic experience! Right when we walked in, we were greeted by the owner and the staff, who were all super friendly. We got seated quickly, which was great. I decided to try the Japanese strawberry soda for drinks, and wow, I can’t recommend it enough; it’s such a fun experience! Just be sure to check out the instructions on how to enjoy it. For our starters, we went with chicken gyozas, and let me tell you, they were absolutely spot on—cooked to perfection! For the main course, we ordered the 18-piece salmon sushi, and it was just as amazing. None of the rolls fell apart when we were picking them up with chopsticks, which is a win! All in all, this restaurant is a total must-visit if you’re in Salisbury! You won’t regret it!

We have been excitedly waiting for several months for this Japanese restaurant to open in Salisbury & I'm pleased to say it was worth the wait! We were politely greeted & taken to our seats. I loved that there was plenty to choose from on the menu. We decided on some spicy edamame beans & some scallops to begin with. We followed this with a Bento box for me which included some sashimi salmon & tuna, some crabstick / avocado maki rolls, some crispy chicken dumplings & rice with teriyaki beef. Mine also came with a Miso soup. My husband chose a chicken noodle ramen for his main. We enjoyed tasting each others dishes. Every mouthful was savoured. Beautifully presented, authentic food & full of flavour without being over-salty. We will most definitely be back again soon & recommend Mountain Spring.

After all the great reviews we had high hopes for this place. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, the atmosphere is nice and I was pleased to see that veggie options were clearly highlighted in green on menu. However, when we ordered and double checked about the oyster sauce in an allegedly veggie dish we were told, after the server checked with the kitchen, that "yes it's oyster fish sauce, so it is vegetarian"... we informed the staff member that vegetarians do not eat fish (unless they are pescetarians), something we felt would not be necessary to point out in a hospitality setting - the response was "oh, oh yeah, true" - and ordered the plant based sushi instead, as apparently none of the hot dishes were suitable for vegetarians. The food was nice and well presented, but we would have preferred a less misleading menu and the option for a hot meal. The real dealbreaker for us, however, was the complete lack of customer service skills. The drinks took a long time to come to the table (25 minutes for 2 cold drinks) and no explanation was offered. There was no please, thank you or any kind of friendliness or desire to make customers feel welcome from the moment we entered and the cherry on top was a member of staff having their smoking break while we were having our meal and leaving the back door wide open, so we had to put up with the fumes while eating. Everything considered we won't be back, there are plenty of other independent restaurants in Salisbury we would...

We had a very nice meal here. The food was lovely. Empty plates all round, it was as close to eating in the heart of Osaka as you can get to in England. The restaurant is quite small and hidden away but was very busy, which is always a good sign. The only negative was the service, staff were friendly but drinks took quite a while to arrive. Once the meals arrived, there was no further interaction from the waiting staff until our (empty) plates had sat for around 10 minutes, I'd have like liked a quick check to make sure everything was ok/any more drinks at some point but there was nothing. I had to ask for the table to be cleared and to get the bill after waiting for about 15 minutes. On a positive note, an adjacent table had gluten free issues and the waitress dealt with them really well and had obviously been trained on how to deal with this, which was good. We'll most definitely be back, it's a great, local restaurant in the city, just keep working on the customer service and...
