I really looked forward to dining out on my last evening in Cardiff. What a total disappointment considering I have met only the most courteous, kind and considerate people while travelling through various parts of Wales. Unfortunately I experienced the absolute worst customer service that I have actually ever experienced when eating out. The 3 staff standing around the bar evidently did not understand customer service. Truly felt like I, the customer, was a total bother. I was asked to order at the bar and told to take my own UNOPENED bottle of Prosecco to my table. I was just about to ask the customers beside me to open the bottle as the plastic cork was difficult to "crack", if you will. Waited 30+ mins for a vegetarian burger. Actually got up to ask the staff if the order had been placed for which the server responded that the "fire had not been on" !! It was 6:00pm..... dinner time. When the meal arrived, I was asked if I would like cutlery!!!! The delicious meal definitely required cutlery and a napkin :) For the sake of the good paying customer, for heavens sake train...

I had an excellent night celebrating my son’s engagement party at this pub! The wood-fired pizzas were absolutely delicious, with a perfect crispy crust and flavorful toppings. The drink selection was impressive, with a great range of options to suit every taste.

The atmosphere was lovely, with a warm and welcoming vibe that made us feel right at home. The staff were friendly and attentive, providing top-notch service throughout our visit.

Look I absolutely loved the nos da, and I'm so glad it's reopened (let's be honest, we're still going to be calling it nos da). But while in some ways they've made good changes, such as the extra outdoor space and the food options, the decor is terrible. Like really tacky bad taste. Hopefully it will settle down a bit and they'll get rid of the neon art (see example), and display some stuff from local artists like nos da used to. And hopefully some good independent events will be put on here. I love that we've got our local venue back but it still has some...
