Grazing Shed is the perfect spot if you're craving a great burger in Cardiff. The burgers are high-quality and served quickly, with a variety of options to choose from. Just a heads-up: adding chips can be filling. The soda options are unique – not the traditional flavours you might expect, but enjoyable all the same. We tried the John Wayne, the lamb burger (incredibly tasty and tender), and a smashed burger, and shared an unlimited soda. We also ordered chicken wings, which were flavourful, though maybe just slightly overcooked – but not enough to dock a star. The main reason this isn't a five-star review is the price; we spent about £55 for three people. While the quality is worth it, it would be great to see the prices come down a little so we could visit more often. Seating is all on benches, which can be a bit uncomfortable if you need back support – something with better seating would be a welcome improvement. Ordering is straightforward with an iPad system they likely introduced during COVID to streamline the process. However, you’ll still need to check a paper menu to see details on ingredients and sauces, as the iPad interface doesn’t display all of that. It’s a nice feature but could be made more user-friendly. Overall, if you're in Cardiff and looking for a quick, filling burger, Grazing Shed is a solid choice. Just be prepared to spend a bit more than you would at a pub or fast-food spot.

The best place to get a burger in Cardiff city centre, hands down. Don't even consider a chain when these guys have a decent sized venue behind St David's Centre! Greeted with a smile, menus and how to order (touch screens or online if you fancy) by the assistant, who recommended some mulled wine (I would have obliged but I fall asleep after one and I had things to do!). You can tell that the staff enjoy working here and the atmosphere was unhurried, relaxed yet the food arrived fairly promptly. Clean tables, plenty of room and plenty of extra condiments, napkins etc at a fixings station on the wall nearest the pass. This time I had a Chicken Hula Hula burger which has grilled pineapple, mozzarella and a mango sauce amongst other toppings over grilled chicken in a fluffy and fresh brioche bun. Absolutely delicious, juicy, packed with flavour. Chips were fresh, hot, umami delicious and somehow I demolished the lot. My mum ordered herself the kids beef burger meal which was perfect for a smaller appetite. Everything they make is as locally sourced/Welsh as possible. The toppings are ALL delicious, particularly the bacon and the cheese sauce for chips is to die for. Bottomless soda using special syrups are delicious, not too sweet and the flavours are really special (try the cherry Bakewell soda!) Yum yum yum, in my tum. Super tidy.

Went to the grazing shed after hearing excellent reviews from my friends. As you come in there appears to be a self service check out where you order your food and then wait before your order is called. All round there was a nice atmosphere, very busy around 7 but completely cleared out at 8. Once we got our food it was delicious, me and my girlfriend are both vegetarian so we got the veggie patties, they were bean burger like as opposed to ‘fake meat’. The patties looked a bit dry at first but were really nice. The chips were delicious. I would say though that the food is good, but it is quite expensive, what happened to getting a decent burger for about £5-8? Also I would say, I’m not too bothered, but it is a bit sad that with the high price and all, the dining experience is like going into a take out? I think it’s nice having more of a friendly connection with the people working there. It’s clear businesses nowadays don’t wanna hire people to cut costs, not only diminishing the customer experience, but also making it veryy unlikely anyone working there will get tips. However I do understand in these post covid times. Ultimately I would defo recommend despite all that aha, as the food was really, really tasty.

A Burger Lover's Paradise!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Grazing shed and I must say, it was an absolute delight! As a self-proclaimed burger connoisseur, I am always on the lookout for the perfect patty, and this place exceeded all my expectations.

From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant had a trendy yet cozy vibe, with comfortable seating and tasteful decor. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel right at home.

Now, let's talk about the star of the show - the burgers! Oh boy, where do I even begin? The menu boasted an impressive selection of mouthwatering options, each more tempting than the last. Whether you're a traditionalist or an adventurous eater, there's something for everyone here.

I opted for the “El Toro”, and it was love at first bite. The patty was perfectly cooked to my desired level of juiciness, and the combination of flavors was simply divine. The toppings were fresh and plentiful, adding an extra layer of deliciousness to each bite. The bun was soft and toasted to perfection, holding everything together flawlessly.

What truly sets this burger joint apart is the attention to detail. The ingredients used were of the highest quality, and you could taste the difference. It's evident that the chefs take great pride in their craft, as every element of the burger was thoughtfully prepared and expertly executed.

Aside from the outstanding burgers, the restaurant also offers a variety of sides and beverages to complement your meal. I highly recommend trying their “Hula Hula fries”, loaded with cheese and bacon and seasoned to perfection!

The prices at the Grazing Shed are reasonable, considering the quality and portion sizes. You definitely get your money's worth here, and I left feeling completely satisfied and already planning my next visit.

In conclusion, if you're a burger lover like me, the Grazing Shed is an absolute must-visit. The combination of exceptional food, friendly service, and inviting ambiance make it a top-notch dining experience. I can't wait to return and explore more of their tantalizing menu. Trust me, you won't be...

After attempting to call 3 of their local establishments, and only 1 being actively in service, it took a total of 20 minutes and 2 phone calls to still end up at a dead end with the employees. The last call, they just couldn't seem to comprehend that their app does not work. After mentioning this very kindly 4 times in a row, only for them to repeat back "you've just got to order on the app," I was starting to realize I was clearly dealing with either very lazy staff or young inexperienced teenagers. Yet I still kept the conversation incredibly polite, hoping that maybe it was still a misunderstanding. I was then, finally, handed over to the supervisor. Thinking I was going to now be able to place an order and relax, I tried to start off an introduction in a light-hearted manner as if the last 20 minutes I had not been close to pulling out my own hair. Yet still even the supervisor seemed to not be able to grasp the concept that their app was down, there was no way to set up for pick up because it simply was not working, and so halfway through our very brief conversation she hung up on me. Dead in the middle of her speaking, as if to play it off like an accident. Fortunately, I've got all the call records and the recording if the owners of the establishment would like to see how this disaster unfolded, and I'm very disappointed with the quality of service tonight. This is beyond disgraceful, not even McDonald's employees have put customers through what we experienced tonight. Quite a shame as the local branch had always been nothing but wonderful. This was...
