We are the family that 'got the hump' and 'demanded fee drinks' and was 'rude' thank you Kaz Porrino!
I have given 5 stars based on the reaction of the management only (as we didn't have food)
We went for my nephew's 18th, booked the table for 7.30 but didn't get seated till 8pm, we knew something was off as they kept on apologising.
We then ordered our food.... so Kaz Porrino thinks we were moaning over a menu thing this is the honest truth of what was not available....
the duck starter, calamari starter and the prawn starter. the garlic butter for the steaks, no Mac and cheese, no tomato and mushroom side, no half a chicken main and more... (and the menu is small as it is so half of the items were not available) it was got to the point where it was just embarrassing and the poor girl serving was mortified, and we honestly didn't know what we could eat... so we decided to go somewhere else.
I spoke to the manager and she was extremely professional, apologised and said they were 2 chefs down that night, I did not "demand" free drinks I said I would settle the tab, but she kindly offered to wipe it and even offered me a 50% discount if I come back.
Yes it was disappointing and not how we wanted the night to go, but we are reasonable people and understand that things can go wrong!
The staff and management were extremely polite and professional, and I wish the steak house all the best.
but we were not spending hundreds of pounds on food we did not want, and I think that is reasonable.
So Kaz Porrino you need to mind your own business and stop making things up because I take great offense to being called rude when actually we were very polite!
and I wasn't even going to leave a review but I had to because I thought your comment was actually doing the steakhouse management disservice, so I wanted to set...
Read moreCame for the bottomless brunch with my partner for date day. Firstly the cocktails were lovely especially the lady ponelpee. & the Processco was so nice probably one of the best iv had so the drinks are 5* & come out fast.
The menu on the bottomless brunch I’d like to see a change in future. You’ve got chips, onion rings and roasties , flat bread with hummus but then also sourdough bread , I just feel like it dosent all go together it’s all different styles with only one veggie option and one style of chicken & fish, I just feel like could make a better menu with the bottlesss that all dishes work with each other. Just think it’s randomly put together. You’ve got chicken Chinese style with roast potatoes & gravy 🧐 maybe add garlic mushrooms or swap some of the carbs for other things. the chicken was nicely flavoured we got two, one was cooked & hot but mine was was stone cold to touch I spat it out twice and just couldn’t eat it, wasn’t just cooked then just gone warm.. it was like ice cold, even to touch , I was told all meats are probed then I was offered another but I felt by the time staff came back around was past the food stage/ time was ending plus don’t like complaining just wanting to help & be awear . I enjoyed the flatbread with the dips that was nice. I would return but I’d try another menu instead.the decor was nice & I did love the toilets, the staff were lovely too, the girls was advisable,...
Read moreFabulous steakhouse- this (relatively) new restaurant overall surpasses the best such as Gauchos and Hawksmoor. Had prawn starters, ribeye, sirloin steak, veggie medley and chips. Creme brulee the best ever hands-down and brownies 10/10. The staff are way and beyond the best of any restaurants- they are always there at the right time and so lovely. Nice touches such as an anniversary card on the table and gratis prosecco. Sumptuous decoration - plush deco with a mix of tables and US- style diner boothes. Good music. Amazing. Some recommendations to make this 11/10- “jumbo” king prawns are small (regular size)- much overstated, the sirloin was medium cooked (had ordered medium well), the waiter did not pour the wine (he offered me to taste then ran away) , and the triple-cooked chips need to be big chunky ones like at the White Hart- regular sized ones makes them appear everyday McCains. The double brownies only had a smallish single scoop of ice cream- needs way more for the huge brownies. Suggest to add more choice of steak- need a more hefty steak on the menu (I recommend a 14oz T-bone or an aged 12oz) and an 8oz filet option. These points didnt detract from the experience but would make this...
