I am writing to follow up as one of the guests who dined at your restaurant on Saturday, 22 March. Thank you for your detailed response—I appreciate you taking the time to address my concerns and provide further context.
While I understand that it was a busy evening, I must clarify a few points. Although the waiting times in my initial review may have been somewhat exaggerated in frustration, the extended delay in receiving something as simple as tap water was indeed excessive. Despite the restaurant being full, I noticed at least two staff members who appeared unoccupied, with one seemingly using their phone at the bar. This gave the impression that the delay was due to inattentiveness rather than the busyness of the service.
Regarding the gluten-free pizza, while I appreciate that your dough is made fresh—a rarity that those with coeliac disease or gluten intolerance greatly value—the execution was disappointing. The base was undeniably undercooked and soggy, making it inedible. While I understand the complexities of working with gluten-free dough, offering a product so far below standard diminishes the experience for those with dietary restrictions. It reduces what should be an inclusive offering to something that feels like an afterthought, making it unfair for those simply wanting to enjoy the same quality of food as others.
Additionally, the solution of providing a bowl of melted cheese instead of remaking the pizza immediately was both impractical and disheartening. It felt like a makeshift fix rather than a genuine effort to resolve the issue.
Finally, while I acknowledge the gesture of charging my power bank as a courtesy, this was neither necessary nor relevant to the issues at hand. It did not compensate for the poor dining experience, and mentioning it as though it were an exceptional service gesture felt somewhat disingenuous.
I do appreciate your willingness to engage with feedback, but I stand by my overall disappointment with the visit. I hope you are able to take this feedback constructively and make the necessary improvements to ensure better experiences for future...
Read moreOne of my worst dining experiences! As we walked in one of the workers greeted us as we had a booking. The server asked where we wanted to sit, me and my girlfriend chose a comfy looking table of 4 but got told no you need a smaller table which doesn’t make sense considering we got told we could chose. The table we sat on was sticky and felt very unclean. Another server came and took our order, myself and my girlfriend have a gluten intolerance when my girlfriend ordered the server asked if it was intolerance but when it came to me i wasn’t asked and felt like it was ignored. This part may of been may of be our bad but on the menus the cheese is written out as “mozzarella” which you would assume regular cheese as most vegan places give it a different name has it’s not real cheese, this place didn’t so we was expecting normal cheese and pepperoni but just tasted like vegan cheese (and not even the good kind!) we had no servers come over and do a check back and ask how our food was. I then had to get a server attention so I could get a takeaway box after i had two slices and then asked to pay. Next thing I know a wooden board was basically got chucked on my table and got told to scan to pay. To my surprise there was a service fee online which was shocking and so after the terrible service we had I asked them to take it off. We left with a whole unfinished pizza and one we took back and never ate. The whole atmosphere inside was just draining and boring. One last thing when the server took the plate with the whole pizza left she said “you not like” we replied with we didn’t know it was vegan cheese because of the menu. The server then had said back not in a nice tone “well this is a vegan restaurant” I think that is...
Read moreEvery time I visit Brighton, there is one place that I absolutely must go to - Purezza! This vegan pizza restaurant has become my go-to spot, and it never disappoints. From the incredible flavors to the exceptional service, Purezza has consistently impressed me with every visit.
During my recent visit, our waiter Mickey provided fantastic service. He was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal to the fullest. The level of service truly added to the overall dining experience and made us feel welcomed and valued as customers.
Now, let's talk about the pizzas! Purezza's creativity and innovation with vegan pizza flavors are truly commendable. I tried the Four Seasons Pizza, which was a perfect combination of grilled artichokes, olives, trifolati mushrooms, smoked beetroot. The Pear & Blue pizza had just the right amount of spice in the form of Lemon Drop Chilli jam, walnuts, and the blend of sweet pear and tangy blue cheese was a taste sensation. However, the highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the Four Cheese Pizza - the best vegan cheese pizza I've ever had! The combination of four different plant-based cheeses melted together in perfect harmony with La Vie Bacon and smoked chilli jelly, creating a rich and creamy experience that left me craving for more.
In conclusion, Purezza is hands down the best vegan pizza restaurant in Brighton, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for delicious and innovative plant-based pizzas. The consistency in their food quality, exceptional service from Mickey, and their dedication to sustainability make them stand out. Every time I visit Brighton, a visit to Purezza is a must, and it never disappoints. Keep up the fantastic...
