Exceptional Service and Lightning-Fast Delivery at an Indian Restaurant!
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Cardamom that truly went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. Due to unexpected travel complications, we had to change our plans and opt for a food delivery instead of dining in. The restaurant staff were not only understanding but also managed to provide us with our food so that we could get onto our travels in time.
The level of service we received was simply outstanding. From the moment we made the decision to switch to delivery, the restaurant staff handled our request with utmost professionalism and efficiency. They quickly adapted to the change and ensured that our order was ready asap.
Speaking of promptness, the kitchen service was lightning-fast. Despite the unexpected change, the food arrived in a bag, ready in no time. The staff were courteous and ensured that the order was prepared in perfect condition. It was evident that the restaurant valued customer satisfaction and took great care in maintaining the quality of their food even as a takeaway.
Now, let's talk about the food itself. The flavors were absolutely amazing! Each dish was bursting with authentic Indian spices and cooked to perfection. It felt as if we were enjoying the same quality and taste as we would have in the restaurant itself. The attention to detail and the commitment to providing an exceptional dining experience were clearly evident in every bite.
Overall, our experience with Cardamom was nothing short of fantastic. Their willingness to accommodate our change from dine-in to delivery, along with the exceptionally fast service, truly impressed us. The restaurant's commitment to excellent service and maintaining the quality of their food sets them apart. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking delicious Indian cuisine coupled with exceptional service, whether dining in or opting...
Read moreI usually don't leave reviews, but here I am making an exception. I dropped by Cardamom for dinner, encouraged by the place's good reviews online.
Starting from the service, I enquired about the portion sizes (for the main or side dish that were mentioned in the menu/leaflet) and some recommendations. I didn't get any useful information besides "it's your choice" and showing the approximate bowl sizes with the waiter's hands. Then, I ordered a soft drink without ice (the waiter gave me the choice, and I specifically asked for "without") - got the correct drink... with ice. After my polite intervention, the waiter strained my drink, leaving the ice cubes out...
Food-wise - very disappointing saag paneer. Honestly, probably the worst I've ever eaten (and I've tried a lot!). The cheese was definitely not fresh, of low quality, way below average. The sauce - more white than green - I could barely taste spinach. The main taste was cream, making it super heavy. Spice-wise, not bland, but very average. At least it was properly warm. Basmati rice - okay, no complaints here.
At the end of the experience, I asked for the bill. I got one... hand-written! To have some sort of payment confirmation, I paid by card, even though I wanted to pay in cash.
Atmosphere - average, no decorations. If there was music, it was quiet and not disturbing. Toilets are quite poor but clean, with soap and toilet paper. Unfortunately, there are no paper towels.
Overall, it was a huge disappointment. Knowing many Indian restaurants in Germany, I would definitely avoid this place. It was the first Indian restaurant in the UK I've visited, so it's hard for me to comment on the prices, but for saag paneer (as a main dish at the end) with basmati rice and a small soda, I paid £17.70. IMO, too much for such an experience.
I am sorry for the negative comments, but I don't believe this place deserves such a...
Read moreMe and my partner came there to eat a starter and the Manager (if I’m not wrong about the post he held ) did not let us have our starter . He said that he cannot let us eat just a starter as it will Mess up the table and he will need to clean it .how can this be an excuse ? The restaurant was empty and we even offered to take a small table so he doesn’t need to clean . Though that should be a customers concern . I completely do not accept this behaviour. Being in the food and management team myself in India in the past this doesn’t sit well with me . It’s okay to have a time limit to eat on the table but you cannot kick your customers out and force them to not eat in the restaurant even if it’s just one dish . This is what my partner and me felt . If the service and food was good we would have ordered more than it . Me and my partner kept requesting and he kept saying it won’t be possible. I request the owner to look into this and perhaps let the employees know and make them aware . If this is a rule of the restaurant then I request you put it out there that’s visible to everyone . A good service and warm hearted welcoming is really important . I really wanted to come and have a few dishes there and was planning it even but with this situation I am in no mood to come back unfortunately and will not return as I feel I might be rejected or not welcomed again . Me and my partner felt extremely sad and had such a bad stressful day . The least we wanted was this behaviour.
Hope you take this into...
