Silvan’s Food Truck — Restaurant in Great Britain

The food was outstanding, so if you want a food experience then it's a must. However, there are some areas in need of improvement. We booked for a table of 11 and upon arrival we we seated at the floor table. There are cushions to sit on around a table. As authentic as this was, the majority of our party was extremely uncomfortable and really struggled for the 3 hours there. I would feel it would necessary to ask whether this table is suitable. We could have had disabilities and not been able to sit there. There was no other table to sit at as it was completely full. The live music was fantastic, but you couldn't see or hear him properly. It was too loud in there to appreciate the music. Some of the service was slow, although very polite. And things like cutlery and plates had to be asked for each time. Will definitely come back, but will definitely be asking for a proper table and chairs, my 40 year old back...

This is our 3rd visit to Silvans and each time we have visited everything has been spot on. The food is very flavourful and the service always friendly and there is nothing they won't do for you. This restaurant is a little gem that deserves praise for offering consistency when in this current hospitality climate is hard to find. This is because it is family run and has a touch of homeliness about it. The food is authentic Turkish/Middle Eastern cuisine and Silvan has brought a little bit of the Middle East to Taunton. The ambience along with the decor and original Turkish music all adds to a lovely evening. am enjoying the new menu which was released recently with something for everyone. My youngest son who is only just exploring new flavours says it is the 'best grilled chicken' he has had and that should be a real testament to the chef along with the Persian smoked rice! We stumbled across Silvan's today whilst we stopped off for a look around Taunton all I can say is Wow!!! I can honestly say that this is now going to be a stop off point whenever we make the journey to Somerset! The food was so fresh and full of flavours that all of my family (that were very very hungry after missing breakfast) wanted a second helping so they went back for more. The prices were very reasonable for the portion sizes I wish we could have brought you back to London. But honestly if anyone is in Taunton and looking for food you will not be disappointed.
