Bos Café — Restaurant in England

Sadly won't be returning. We have loved BOS for many many a time, far too long to remember, always was our go to place. Except now after the 3rd bad visit my family will no longer dine here. Staff (1 in particular, same each visit) have been extremely rude, not listened to orders and even had the cheek to 'back chat', sigh and huff in our faces. Allergies not listened too, food wasted and simply dangerous for someone with allergies, as refused request to simply take items off, insisting we are asking for extra items or items to be swapped when we are clearly not asking of that at all! Just don't serve an item its PLAIN SIMPLE. After the 3rd time of having the same conversation over 3 visits, I had finally had enough and the 'boss' came over, his staff member literally stood there and lied to him, making my family look awful, staff didn't like what he had said to her and stormed off. Nothing after that point was said to her! Yet we got told off for not just ordering separate items instead, making a massive fuss in front of everyone 😒 and then the final straw was throwing an extra hash brown at us when we hadn't asked for it. My entire family left with barely any food touched on our plates. Stone-cold by the time the 'disagreement' had finished and completely put off the meal anyway, toatally not helped by being stared at by him the whole time! And the absolute glare from said member of staff as we left was the icing on the cake. I do not expect as a customer to be walking out the door and bursting into tears! No return...

Was in the town for the Christmas light turn on show and I am 9 months pregnant and needing to use a loo rather urgently. I saw they were putting chairs in from the front and I asked the girl waitress if I could quickly use the loo I was very apologetic as I could see they were closing she was very lovely and agreed I could and said to be very careful as the floor was damp. I very almost made it to the toilet when what appeared to be the chef shouted get out go on get out I explained that I needed to use the loo and I was told I could by the lady however he kept shouting get out. I was very embarrassed and then what appeared to be the owner came out and said I need to get out his shop I explained I was very heavily pregnant and I just wanted to use the loo and he said nope get out were closed you need to get out and then told of the poor waitress for being so kind in the first place to let me in. I was very disappointed and embarrassed not only of the way they treated a heavily pregnant person but also there lack of humanity and kindness. Due to this awful experience I will definitely not ever go there for food or drinks and will also never reccomend them. In a world that can be so difficult surely we should try to be kind to others and help people. Really...

Customer service is poor, only dish I enjoyed was cheese on toast with a side of mushrooms, they use the same oil for all their food. I used to work as a waitress and the boss is very rude to all his staff, there was an order I had to take to a customer who had waited roughly 30mins for their food and they didn’t want bacon on their English breakfast for medical reasons, however when I took the food back to the kitchen he simply just took the bacon off her plate leaving excess grease and tiny bits of bacon on the plate instead of doing fresh, i was told to take the plate back to her and she was very upset by this and said she was going to leave, only then did they make her a fresh meal. After I finished with the job I started working in a vape shop next to his next cafe called coffee beans, right next door to my new job, he saw me working in there, smiled at me and proceeded to tell one of my old bos cafe coworkers and friend that it’s about time I found a job as lazy as me! He’s rude and giving his workers cash in hand. Probably working illegally but...
