Smoked Out — Restaurant in Great Britain

Poor service all round. Our takeaway arrived 2.5hours after we made the online order, cold and sloppy. Numerous calls to the business to rectify, with a rude and dismissive manager and owner who HUNG UP up on me while I was trying to discuss the issue. They admitted they had too many orders to cope with, they also told me they prioritised in-house customers over takeaways (despite them charging the same for the food), they told us they were too busy to deal with us and would call back (no call) and they also claimed if I had challenged the service on the night it would’ve been refunded (ignoring the fact I had called 7 times, messaged on social media and emailed them!). Disgusting attitude of the staff and owners due to my complaint.

Eventually, I had to go down and stand there in the shop to speak to them but the “manager” claimed to be too busy, despite having just a few ice cream shakes to make and no customers in the restaurant and actively ignored me. I simply wanted a refund but they were outright refusing and would not provide a replacement meal either.

I had provided evidence of all the attempts I made to rectify the problem, so they eventually slammed the refund on the counter and demanded that I never to go back… quite frankly, I’ll be glad not to return to their establishment as their attitude is disgraceful...

What I once thought was a nice food place has turned into a place I would never recommend to anyone… Awful attitude and...

Maybe we are too old to enjoy this place with no ambience and loud music though the playlist was excellent. We sat in a ‘restaurant’ with little if no atmosphere on plastic chairs in-front of a sticky table. The ‘patties’ aka burgers weren’t very tasty and squashed very flat no doubt to get maximum profit from each customer. If I had put all the slices of the mushrooms on my burger together I wouldn’t even have had half a small mushroom. No check back ‘How’s your food’ from any of the staff who all looked like they had just come from the gym (make a bit of effort guys!). All dishes came in a basket with chequered paper on them so we felt like we were having food from a cheap burger van. No salt and pepper on the tables - as basic as it gets. Highly unimpressed by this establishment, really can’t see it lasting long once the novelty has worn off. We have a high standard for food so tend to be a bit more critical than most however we have been far more impressed with other local venues than we were...

What can I say if I could leave a 0 I would. £80 order to treat the family nye staying in. Fries where soggy tasteless and a tiny amount, My daughter ordered a Veggi patty, it was a battered Veggi burger which wasn’t cooked properly all mushy, like baby food falling apart, (soggy, watery,) non edible, no onions in it as described, it was absolutely vile.

When my husband called to explain the Veggi burger was not as described and was not cooked properly, The abuse he had was shocking, “I’m the best smash burger place in Bridgend “ I’m to busy, I sell 100s of Veggi patties, with no complaints,
