I’ve eaten and had drinks here a few times. It’s always been clean, staff are decent and have a bit of charisma. Never had a bad breakfast, on the pricey side, but worth it.. Ate lunch here today, ordered a burger with some sweet potato fries and onion rings. The burger was abysmal, patty definitely not made on site. Over cooked, no kind of relish, butter, sauce or cheese in the bun, just chewy bread and a burger with the consistency of a flip flop. Sweet potato fries - never had these so poorly cooked before, guess the cook was rushed.. so much so they couldn’t be bothered to add any kind of salad to the plate. My 5 year old enjoyed her lunch at least.

We visited the estuary on Monday for lunchtime we didn't have any reservation but the venue wasn't that busy, we ordered the estuary burger and the breaded goat cheese salad, the portions are a good size and if you order the mains normally they come with two sides, even chicken wings!!. The vibes in the restaurant were good but a little bit tight between tables, it wasn't that busy so the service was quick and easy and the food came relatively quickly. Personally the onion rings on the burger weren't that great and the salad was short of beetroots just a few here and there but definitely it was tasty. Thank you so much to the staff for the service.

Food overpriced for what it is. £18 for a 'luxury' salad - leaves, peppers, cucumber and a couple of huge bits of raw onion. No dressing. Staff fairly rude, seeing us to a table involved throwing some menus on one and walking off before we'd got there. Overheard them get several other tables orders wrong. Waiter offered me sweet chilli sauce with my prawns - asked if I could have it on the side, he said no, it comes 'in it', if I wanted it like that I'd need to wait for my food to come out and then ask for it. Just weird. Plus was sniffy that I only wanted a small glass of wine. Wine good though. Partners steak overcooked in sandwich. Decent toilets.

Went for lunch to what we thought would be a wonderful experience. We were greeted very well, sat down and gave our order to a waitress who did not smile , and really gave the impression that she was not bothered. We had ordered a starter and 2 main courses at the time of the drinks order , and after waiting for a while and another wait we were handed our main course but no starters, which we both bought it to the attention of the other waitress. We questioned the waitress about it, who looked at us in a blank way, only to finally cancelled the starter after which, we noticed one of the main courses had bacon on it which we had specifically asked to be taken off the dish at the time of the order. The dish was returned and another requested , but when it arrived it was too late and the other person had eaten their meal. There was no apology from the waitress or any kind of recognition by the manager of the issue. As well as the waitress who had taken our order refused to acknowledge her fault and questioned the fact she had taken the order , in the first place and then stated to my guest that I had spoken to her in a rude way. The experience will never be repeated, as I shall never go there again , in fact I have on several occasions gone to their sister restaurant in Southend The Arches , but will never go there again as a result . If you want to eat food that you have not ordered or want to have your specific dietary choice met , do not go there. They do not cater for that. Nor are the waitresses attentive enough to take a simple order. The service or lack of it and any apology is appalling. As , for value for money , I would say a little pricey , but I suppose they have to charge that for the rubbish service their...

Myself and my friend had been here previously and enjoyed our food, service wasn’t amazing but we thought we’d go back. We both ordered sandwiches/burritos with the steak, I asked for my steak medium rare to rare (in the past I’ve ordered medium rare at other restaurants and it’s been well done and I’ve asked for rare and it’s been too rare for my liking so I ask for an in between which has never been an issue else where), the waitress replied “rare or medium rare, HUN” in a very rude manner, this took me by surprise and thought it could have been said in a nicer way. The steak was dry, unseasoned and had to be taken out of my flat bread and cut (my thought process is that I should be able to pick it up and bite it but it was tough and was cut in very large strips) there were a few other rude encounters (we asked for drinks menu, we got a not so nice face in return, nothing was said and was made to feel uncomfortable, my friends steak couldn’t be cut through but we didn’t even bother asking for another meal of our choice)and when it came to asking for the bill we asked politely if the service charge could be removed. The waitress replied “well I mean you can but…” she asked if everything was okay but I felt too uncomfortable to speak my mind. Luckily a nice man took our payment and had a good amount of charisma, if he had been our waiter i believe we would have had a very different experience. Said waitress that called me “hun” barged into the toilets to inform my friend her card payment didn’t go through the first time, this was really intimidating and I would also say very invasive. £64 not well spent....

I don’t think I’ve ever complained in a restaurant and I hate to do it online, but considering none of the staff checked or asked during our lunch today how the food was I wasn’t able to. Our first waitress was great, really nice and helpful but I think her shift finished before we did. Basically we had to wait just over an hour between our starters and mains. And I know it’s Mother’s Day so it was busy, but with three kids it was a long time. At this point we still had our first waitress and she was apologetic. However once the mains eventually came out she left. And it was not clear who was now looking after our table. Not a single person came to ask how the food was, even though we’d been waiting an hour. The rest of the family’s food seemed okay. But my burger was probably the driest toughest burger I had eaten. In fact I left it. And if someone would have come and asked I would have told them. I wouldn’t have made a fuss and I wouldn’t have asked for any discount. But no one came and checked. Once we had finished we sat with our plates for about 20 mins. There must have been at least 5 different waitresses going back and forth last our table looking at our plates but doing nothing about it. I eventually asked for the bill, again at this point we still was not asked how the food was. And it cost me £110. Like I said I never complain but today I felt I needed to. To wait over an hour in between courses and to be served food that was poor at best and also not checked on at any point, is really bad in my opinion. We will definitely not...
