Good for students I suppose. Not massive pub. Very reasonably priced. My wife and I went for Sunday lunch with some friends. There's a room private enough and big enough to accommodate 10 of us or so. The carvery was good. The reason I give 3 stars is because we had a baby with us. There are only the usual men's or ladies' but no baby changing room. Bit crammed to wheel a pram in there. Therefore, well suited for adults, students, but not very young families. Given the layout of the building, it's not something they would consider...

Splendid and welcoming pub; very affordable drinks, humorous, friendly, and no nonsense staff. This place is what I believe all pubs should aspire to be like. Its a very welcoming environment for all manner of people. The bar staff, (namely Jess ) were very happy to make us customised cocktails, and held pleasant conversation in between serving other customers with lightning fast efficiency, it was really amazing. Was my local whilst in Bangor for about 4 years. Great pub, especially if you don't like places like Varsity and The Castle. Great outside area at rear of building, perfect for the summer. New pool table needed. Would give 5 stars, however the place is let down by a barman (possibly bar manager) who is rude and passive aggressive. I was meeting with old friends one Sunday and he kicked us out at around 9:30pm because he wanted "to close up and go for a spliff". This guy should be nowhere near such...
