Extremely disappointed, sadly ☹️
I had high hopes because this was the only place open out of 3 Indian restaurants I had called. Wanted to give my visitor a treat to something nice.
Ordering Got here at 8pm. No one took our order even though the waitress was visbly present at the desk, taking phone orders and doing what seemed to be admin tasks.🤪 I had to walk to another table and pick up a menu by myself after 10 minutes had gone by. 😓We had made our decision within a few minutes so I signalled her to kindly come take our order , she attended to our table and still asked to be spared for a minute while she dealt with something else. ...and proceeded to clean up other tables, take phone orders, etc! 😤Waste of precious time! as all that was needed was to take the order to kitchen staff and then she could continue the other tasks. After another 10 minutes or so,our order was finally taken.🎉🎉
Waiting time I asked how long it will take...was told 30 to 40 min..She was quite apologetic, which I responded by saying if she had taken the order when I had indicated, the waiting time would have been less. Our food arrived a whole hour after we had sat down! 😓Meanwhile there were at least 3 takeaways picked up and numerous phone orders being picked up. Only 2 other tables were dining in, but they were served before us so ideally the wait could have been less. Ended up having dinner at 9pm😒.
Food I had ordered a biryani with plain naan, and a jalfrezi dish, alongside 2 bottles of water. Waitress took the order down IN WRITING, but when food finally came, there was no naan!.🤦🏾♀️🤐 We were served water in a jug also. By this time I was too hungry to bother to draw their attention. The rice was well cooked and meat was tender. I only wished the spice level was as advertised as we were looking forward to the hotness of the jalfrezi 🙁
Bill Price was okay for the meal. We got charged for the naan that wasn't served (as I predicted🙄). Error was rectified only after I had notified the waitress. I would have given a tip, save for all the stress.🤷🏾♀️
Environment Looked nice, adequate and fairly clean.. unfortunately seemed our table wasn't fully ready before we were ushered to it, as there was a used glass from probably a previous customer. We happend to witness an accidental spill on the carpet from a delivery going out to another customer. Unfortunately there was no attempt to clean it up during the hour and half we were present.
Conclusion Overall it seemed delivery orders take a priority over dine-in customers.☹️.. Probably rethink going here if you're already quite hungry/ if you have somewhere else to go.otherwise food is okay. Polite staff but abysmally slow service. Acceptable value for money. Will likely never go there again, but open to ordering...
Read moreWe had a very disappointing experience at this Indian restaurant. We came with our family, including young children who aren’t fond of Indian food, so we brought burgers for them since the restaurant doesn't offer child-friendly options. As the kids began eating quietly at our table, the manager approached us and very rudely told us to leave because of the outside food.
We are Indian ourselves, and in our culture, we take pride in hospitality and sharing food—especially with children. We never expected such unkind treatment from an Indian restaurant, and certainly not toward kids who had just started eating.
We had already placed an order for the adults and were not trying to disrespect any policies, but the manager’s attitude was unnecessarily harsh. A little understanding would have gone a long way. Sadly, this experience guarantees we won’t be returning or recommending this...
Read moreWent here just after 5:30pm on a Saturday evening. Wasn't greeted at the door so had to ask at the counter for a table for two. Was shown to a table but then sat for around 15 minutes with no interaction from the 3 staff they were present.
Every restaurant in the country with the slightest ounce of customer service would offer their customers a drink whilst perusing the menu. Not at this establishment as they were more bothered about getting the JustEat orders out. Unfortunately JustEat customers don't purchase anything other than their food. On this occasion we would have probably spent at least £50.
I will happily take my custom and hard earnt £s in an establishment that is...
