I have visited llandudno and eating in many places for many years. I visited this place tonight with 3 friends. The food wasn't that bad. Then I went to the ladies toilet upstairs. I have NEVER seen a more fillthy toilet in all my life. The stairs leading to it are absolutely filthy with dust and years of grime, and thread bare carpets, no exaggeration. Then the ladles toilet. What can I say 🤷. Water all around the toilet itself with filthy toilet paper on the floor. 2 toilets closed because of there condition (as told by the staff). If I had visited this before I had eaten I would have walked out. I always try to leave a decent review but not here. I came down and spoke to the waitress who said she'd sent someone up clean it. (You would need a few months to sort this mess out) This lady who was cleaning it was also was waiting on. I said I couldn't understand for the life of me how they got 5 stars. If health and safety went in this week they would CLOSE IT DOWN. I'm going to phone environmental health tomorrow. I've looked on trustpilot and they have had the same complaints for many, many months. Just check toilets out before you eat. I asked who the manager was but...

Had a portion of Haddock , Chips and Mushy peas . £8.80 Prices are clearly displayed and easy to read and understand . Nice young man who served me and put plenty of vinegar on and a small amount of salt then put another good splash of vinegar over the top as requested . Not the cheapest of places , but open all day and it was a massive portion I ended up sharing it with my Wife who had bought a Veggie Sausage roll as no way was I going to be able to eat it on my own . The fish was awesome lovely crispy batter with the fish underneath just moist and flaked open with that glisten look of a really fresh piece of fish and tasted really fresh with good flavour . Chips were great nice crunch but lovely and fluffy and moist underneath not sure what potatoes they use but they had a really nice taste to them as sometimes potatoes can be a bit bland . Mushy peas were ok but slightly on the thin side without that real hint of pea flavour however a good portion for £1.10 . Not the cheapest place , but big big portion so if you are hungry or greedy the price is offset by the generous portion . I would buy from here again as the Haddock and chips were 5* and that is the...

Google mapped a nearest chip shop to where we were staying and this one came up and it has a sit in restaurant. We were greeted by a lady sat at a table on her phone, to which she said just find a seat and ill be over soon. When ordered we had the special sharing 2 cod and chips with 2 sides and a drink for £25. The food was amazing. The fish was fresh and flaky. The chips were lovely and the gravy was tasty and thick. The 2 waitresses were sat at the front desk on their phones or staring outside while the customers were calling for their attention. A man then pulled up outside in a grey van and came in the shop and took an A board outside. He must of been the boss because the waitresses started cleaning clean tables lol. The customers behind me finally got served and we finally got a check back after we finished our meal. After 10 minutes the man left. We got our bill and then waited 5 minutes to pay while the 2 waitresses were still chatting at the bar at the back. I opened the door to see if there was bell to alert them but they still didnt bother. Their lazy attitudes stopped us coming back the next day, its a shame a the food...

If heaven serves fish and chips, it probably looks like Tribells. The cod? Titanic. If you’re expecting a modest fillet, think again—this beauty could double as a pillow. Perfectly flaky inside, wrapped in a crisp, golden coat that defies sogginess. And the chips! They weren’t just large… they were code chips—as in, someone clearly cracked the algorithm for “maximum fluff meets optimal crunch.” It’s culinary engineering at its finest. And oh, the mushy peas. These weren’t some sad, green sidekick. No, they were gloriously mushy—comfortingly savoury, smooth as velvet, and served with pride. Now, let’s talk staff: warm, welcoming, and possessed of that rare hospitality that makes you feel like a long-lost regular, even if it’s your first visit. They handled everything with cheerful grace and genuine kindness, even when the place was humming. Whether you dine in or take away, Tribells isn’t just a meal—it’s a little taste of coastal joy wrapped in greaseproof paper. Highly recommended for anyone who believes chips should come with personality and peas should be mushy with meaning.

Very good Fish & Chips! They also serve Plaice which is personally my favorite type of Fish for this kind of meal, that was a nice surprise. The fish is cooked on point and the chips are crunchy, the cooks know their friers that’s for sure. The price is relatively ok considering the portions are huge. Ok and now the suggestions, since there’s a salad on the plate it would be nice if it was given a little attention, maybe some dressing? A little green looks great on a plate but it wouldn’t take too much effort to make that part shine a little brighter. Lastly, the amount of tartar sauce given with such a huge fish is simply quite sad. When I asked for more I was told I have to pay. This kind of attitude in restaurants I find rude and embarrassing. Come on guys! You’re not a budget airline. That’s not how you engage customers to want to come back. In the end the waiter did gift us some sachets which was nice. All in all this place knows how to fry a fish, it’s good quality and probably the best fish and chips I have eaten for a long while. Just don’t be so tight on the sauces ;)
