Original post: Aug '19. Visited while in Llandudno. Its situated towards the end of the shops at the pier end of the town. It is that big it has two entrances. We actually came in the back way initially but WOW its just a stunning interior. From the "royal boxes" high up on the walls to the balconys. The floor area is vast. Food was lovely. Bit of a wait but it was summer so understandable. We left through the front entrance which consisted of a lovely foyer and front windows. A beautiful building full of character. Would happily visit when next in Llandudno. UPDATE : Aug '23. My original post was 4 years ago but visited again while we stayed this year just over the road in the Travelodge. The foyer area on the main road entrance bow has seating areas in it whereas in my previous visit it didn't. The main floor area seems to be the same. Our breakfasts were lovely and delicious and the whole experience was great seeing as it was 4 years since our last visit. A great spoons, with great food and helpful staff. Free parking outside on the road and central road area also. A must visit while in Llandudno

On our 1st visit, Saturday afternoon, went in the back door to be confronted by stairs. I am a wheelchair user, so this nearly put us off. I am able to walk short distances, and can climb stairs slowly if needed. Nowhere was there a sign to advise, that there was a flat, easier access around the corner! Our 2nd visit later we accessed this way to the lift, but on getting to the bottom, couldn't get out, due to tables with people seated eating. Went back up and found a table close to the disabled toilets. Was glad to see this locked, needing a key. A lot of Weatherspoon's tend to leave open, with the 1st door being wedged open! Service was courteous and speedy. Lovely old cinema, sympathetically restored. Was very busy, we didn't eat, but plenty were and the food looked good.

Bad service, bad food, not abiding by covid rules in regards to cleaning tables or taken orders. Waiter seen taken glasses from table without service tray using his hands and finger's in the glasses picked up from near by table. Also other tables With plates empty glasses on nearby tables for 45mins uncleaned until I made complaint to management. If understaffed should tell customer so can decide on staying or not. Will be posting very negitive review on TripAdvisor as Facebook ect. Also sending photos with complaint to head office. This place Was a joke... Food cold ,fatty, raw uncooked. No profecional management at all. Did not cater for my disabled partner when asked for table for 2 I had to remove a chair as she is wheelchair bound. No staff to take order for 30 mins after being directed to table. If we did not download the app to order we ptobberly would still be waittting. Avoid this place.😷😤😠

The Palladium was recommended by a friend who'd had a good experience. We decided on a late lunch on Sunday afternoon. The place had clearly been busy and it was shift change-over. That said the service was polite and reasonably quick. Many surrounding tables hadn't been cleared and I suspect this may have been due to the shift change, busy nature and shortage of staff. The food ordered was traditional but well presented. You pay for what you get, which is value for money. There was an instance of a surly customer at the bar whilst I was ordering my drinks, which was handled superbly by the staff serving me. It's good to see the franchise repurposing old buildings and retaining the decor and features.

It's a Spoon's so I was expecting the usual 3 - 3.5 stars, constancy is what they do well. Not this time. While I've actually sat at tables that were greasier, stickier was surprised to discover the pillar next to the table felt just as awful. When the food finally arrived the separate plate of incinerated onion rings came much later, delivered quickly by a server who almost threw it on the table in passing with a 'hope you enjoy', trust me we didn't. It's an old converted theater and the interior should be interesting and fun, but poor lighting, ventilation and an air of grubbiness leave the place feeling sadly squalid. Use if you must avoid if you can

Classic steak and chips, salad, onion rings and 2 pints of Corona Extra with a slice of lime, tasted so good! Very nice interior design in this pub, it's a beautifully old fashioned theatre. Paid just over £20 in total, as I ordered a bowl of salad, 6 onion rings and another pint of lager separately. The gourmet steak meal is probably the best option as for just over £15 you get a pint of lager, chips or jacket potato, salad, mushroom and garden peas included. The classic steak meal just comes with chips or jacket potato and a pint of lager of your choice, for just over £12. Very good service and nice atmosphere in this pub. Good value for money.

A basic boozer set in a palatial 1920s theatre, underneath the original ornate balconies and boxes.
