Tropical Paradise Brighton & Hove — Restaurant in Great Britain

I have never ever been so appalled at the standard of service and the poor quality food. To say it was inedible would be an understatement. The coffees took over 15 minutes and one never arrived and no explanation or apology was given. 2 plates of food came out and both were stone cold, like fridge cold. The English breakfast was tiny for £11 and the egg was so raw it was trying to run off the plate - not that I can blame it because I felt like running away too. We complained and they microwaved the breakfast but forgot the toast which was in fact soggy bread with some greasy grill marks on one side. The other 2 plates of food then came out after the other 2 people had finished eating and I didn't think it could get worse but it did. I didn't think you could go wrong with a club sandwich served with salad and chips but "tropical paradise" not only served the sandwich without the salad and chips but it was also soggy, untoasted with raw bacon and gone off chicken. It also came out like someone had thrown it at the plate or maybe they were trying to do a deconstructed sandwich. Eating that would have made me extremely ill. I trained to be a chef so I have good knowledge of food as well as hygiene standards and I can tell you, this place should not have a 5 star hygiene rating. One man serving food was in and out of the kitchen in his coat which is against food standards and cream cakes are being stored in a fridge which isn't even turned on. This place is food poisoning waiting to happen. Please avoid this shambles of a business at all costs for the sake of your health and wallet because quite honestly, it is a joke. I must say, I was thoroughly impressed once again. The food was absolutely fantastic! Each dish was bursting with flavor, and it was evident that great care and attention went into the preparation. I also appreciated the variety on the menu, making it easy to find something delightful to enjoy. Additionally, the service was exceptional. Ordered Feijoada and White fish fillet, both were large portions, well balanced (i,e, in heavier dishes, fruit and salad alongside) and flavourful (but the fish could have had a bit of herbs or spices but it is still delicious and it was honestly really well cooked, but this is just my personal preference)The servers made us feel really comfortable as soon as we came in and were really kind to us the whole time, and always smiling.
