After anticipating trying this place out for so long I finally went with my friends, we all love Thai food places and usually go to Chilli Basil (which is so delicious and authentic), but we thought we’d try TukTuk. We booked our table and we’re told on the phone we only had it for 2 hours as there was another booking after us and we agreed that was fine. The service here was appalling. We booked a table in advance and I turned up first. I was not greeted and no one was at the counter so I walked in and then said I have a booking and the man told me to sit in the big table.
I sat there for about 20 minutes and not once did he offer some water, a drink or anything. I thought that might just be the way they do things there until I saw him greeting and talking to other customers walked in, offering them drinks, talking and chatting away. Anyways then my friends came and we sat for another 15 minutes.
We were also aware that our table wasn’t available for long so we wanted to order but this whole time not one person asked us if we’re ready to order even drinks. Then my friend calls a waiter over and he’s like “you do know you only have this table for another hour..so you should start ordering” and we said we are ready to order we’ve been waiting for someone to take our order. Then he took our order, I asked for a jug of water on the table three times, didn’t receive it. My friend ordered a roti and had to remind them three times before receiving it. The lady who served our food was asking who’s dish is who’s but then just giving dishes to the closest person and not even attempting to give it to the person who is claiming their food.
Then the ENTIRE time we were told every 10 minutes that we don’t have long and to “be conscious of the time”. After their slow service they kept rushing us to eat and get out basically which was a shame as we wanted to order dessert and told the manager it was a birthday too. Granted if there was no time for dessert we would understand but the constant rushing was very unappealing and honestly ruined the experience for all of us which is a shame because some of the food was really delicious.
From the reviews here everyone has mentioned the exact same problems and I spoke to the manager too but it clearly seems like they don’t care and haven’t changed a thing which is disappointing. The man who ignored me when we came in was supposedly the assistant manager and the actual manager was slightly better but still very defensive...

I am writing to express my disappointment with our experience at TuTuk on 14th February. I made a reservation for two at 5:00 PM and was informed in advance that our table would have a maximum time allocation of 1 hour and 30 minutes, which we fully understood.
Unfortunately, due to traffic and Uber delays, we arrived 10 minutes late. Upon arrival, we were informed that our remaining time at the table was 1 hour and 20 minutes, which we accepted. We promptly reviewed the menu and placed our order without delay.
Throughout our meal, we noticed that other tables were being reminded of the standard 1 hour and 30-minute allocation. We enjoyed our starter and main course; however, when the waitress collected our plates, my wife mentioned that she was unsure whether her sea bass was fully cooked or if it had a fatty portion. I also commented that while my meal was tasty, the chicken was firmer than expected. We hoped this feedback would be passed on to the kitchen.
After our mains were cleared, we were given a dessert menu. However, before we could place our dessert order, another staff member arrived to remind us that we had only 10 minutes remaining. My wife politely responded that we understood the time limit but were still waiting for someone to take our order. An apology was offered by another member of the team who advised that we have 12 minutes, but no apology was given by the previous server. Instead, we were given a token offer of a ‘lychee shot,’ which we declined.
We chose not to raise a complaint at the time, as the overall pressure we felt—especially from the last host—had already overshadowed what was meant to be a romantic Valentine’s meal. Additionally, we did not want to disrupt the experience of other diners. However, we couldn’t help but feel singled out, as the couple seated behind us did not appear to receive the same level of pressure.
Regrettably, this experience has left us uncertain about returning to your restaurant in the future. We hope you take this feedback into account to ensure all guests feel equally valued and that service remains consistent and...

The food? Absolutely fantastic! It was so hard to choose as everything on the menu sounded too good to resist. 😍🍽️ The vibes inside were lush and full of character – perfect for a chilled meal or a special treat. 🌟
Here’s what we enjoyed: 🦐 Spicy Thai Manora prawn crackers 🥢 Por Pia Ped – Crispy Duck Spring Rolls with Hoisin & Sweet Chilli Sauces 🍜 Chicken Pad Thai 🥘 Beef Massaman Curry 🌶️ Chicken Panang Curry 🍚 Jasmine Rice 🍟 Salt & Pepper Shake Fries
Every dish was bursting with flavour – perfectly spiced, fresh, and delicious. 🌶️✨ But the standout for me? The duck spring rolls! 🦆 They were so generously filled, packed with flavourful, tender duck, and paired beautifully with the sauces. No skimping on the filling here – just pure perfection! 🤤🔥
A special shoutout to the amazing Grace and Lisa for looking after us so well – your warm hospitality made the experience even more enjoyable! ❤️🍴
