I have ordered birthday cakes here before, and they have always told me to message them back, and the cake would be slightly discounted because im a returning customer. The last time I ordered a cake was 2022.. the prices for a 6 inch cake was £25/ £35 for 8inch, which i thought a bit expensive but i like the cake so it still within reasonable and hopefully it was discounted as they said it would be. I contacted them today regarding ordering a birthday cake.. and they replied that prices for a 6-inch is from £30, 8inch is from £50 and 10inch from £70. I replied that 8 inches was £35.. and they told me it was prices from 4 years ago. If they had read the previous messages from the same chat, they would know that they offered that price to me 2 years ago. Plus my friend ordered from there a couple of months ago and it was the same price. Absolutely disgusting service, as I can tell they raised it just when I start speaking to them. Taste isn’t the best, I bought two matcha desserts and didn’t have matcha taste at all. The service was nice though. The shop is quite far away from the center so I would recommend shopping for food online. The staff was generous and welcomed us into the shop and showed us the menu, however, the shop wasn't really big, there is no accessible bathroom. The choices is quite limited. I came in late evening, and despite this there was still a large selection of items to choose from. I opted for some Matcha cake, which I didn’t end up liking as the cream was a little too heavy. That said, mochi was excellent. The person serving me was so patient, I actually walked in shortly after they started wrapping up for the day - this was not a problem, I was still welcomed with a smile and they even took the time to talk about the products, they didn’t try to rush me or force me to pick quickly.
