I had a sandwich and a tea and it was my second visit. My first visit with my wife was very nice and I chose to go back as I liked the food. I am 74 Years old male and after I finished my sandwich and tea I settled the bill and asked the ladies behind the counter if I can use the bathroom, planning to wash my hand and see if I needed the toilet. Considering two ladies setting next to me on the table opposite visited the toiled and both were happily ushered by the staff to use the toilet, I was alarmed that I was told that I cannot use the toilet and to go to Waitrose across the road as they have a toilet. I didn’t know what to make of it. Is it my age, my gender, my colour or what was it? I didn’t make a fuss and left looking to go to Waitrose to use their facility. At home I shared my experience with my wife and she was outraged that they turned my request down and said she would have spoken to the manager as they should not turn an old customer down regardless for reason. The next morning I passed by the place and I asked to speak to the manager but I was told that she was not in. I explained to the young man behind the counter what happened the previous day. He was apologetic but alarmingly told me that the two ladies before me must have been regular customers and they thought I was just a one off visitor. It was a lame excuse and I told him that not only they lost my custom, I will share my experience with others and I do not want another old person sharing my experience regardless of race, gender or not...
Read moreThe whole decor is really cute. I used to love having your coffee and pastries (huge almond croissants were my favourite) untill one day when I came with my friend. We were chatting and drinking our hot chocolate and matcha latte (without a doubt it tasted delicious) and suddenly we were asked to leave. The gentleman who was working there said "if you're finished with your drinks could you please leave because it's getting busier and other people want to sit as well". Never ever in my life such situation has happened to me before. I used to work myself in the coffee shops and I would never suggest a guest to leave if they're finished with their drink. I was shocked and also upset because I invited my friend there hoping he will have a good time and we've been treated in a very rude way. So what I would suggest is to be more polite to your guests because you might loose them and personally I don't feel like coming back to a place were I'm not feeling very welcome. Once again, the location, coffee and decor are all on point. Not saying all people are being rude who are working there. Didn't have a problem with anyone but only...
Read moreThere’s a charming café in my area that I’ve been visiting for several years now, and every time I go, it brings me so much joy. It’s not just a place to enjoy a good cup of coffee; it’s a space where friendships are made and cherished moments with loved ones take shape.
They offer a small selection of delicious snacks—simple yet incredibly tasty. As for the coffee, I always like mine prepared a little differently than most, and they never fail to deliver an amazing taste every time.
What truly makes this café special is the friendly and welcoming team. Today, in particular, I was impressed by Bogdan, a kind Ukrainian barista who has been working here for a while. His warm service and attention to detail finally inspired me to leave a well-deserved positive review and write a few kind words about this wonderful place.
You guys are doing an outstanding job, and I wholeheartedly recommend this café to anyone looking for a cozy spot with great service. Wishing you all continued success—keep up the...
