Shah's Secreto — Restaurant in Guildford

We were invited to dinner at Shah's Secreto today and would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the chef and the entire team for the incredibly delicious, fresh food and outstanding service.

My son is passionate about cooking and dreams of becoming a chef one day. We are especially thankful to Shah for his kindness and generosity in taking the time to introduce him to the inner workings of the restaurant. He showed him around the kitchen and explained how the food is prepared — an unforgettable experience!

We were truly touched by the warm hospitality of the owner. Shah's Secreto has now become our favourite spot in Guildford — not only because of the amazing food and wide variety of vegetarian options, but also because of the fantastic people who make this place so special.

Do not order the mixed grill, it will cost you £13 and you will roughly get one piece of each meat. We called the restaurant back to complain and their first response was “we will sort it out next time you order” how is that a good enough response ? After 5 more minutes on the phone the restaurant agreed to send us out another portion but made it clear that there mixed grill will only have one piece of each meat even though it costs £13. If you order a mix grill be aware that it is only for one person and not a group of 3 like it usually is.

The Balti pizza is normally good but this time the dough was off and this was noticeable through the taste and smell.

Super tasty garlic nan with a bit sweet taste, soft and chewy texture. I wanted to try something new so I chose chicken naga for my curry, the waiter warn me that it's going to be so so hot! But yah I ordered it anyway and mann it's literally super hot no kidding lol. I was crying, eating it tbh 😂 but however, still a really delicious dish, perfect with garlic nan. I ordered rice as well, but I'm more a fan of nan so rice was just alright to me. And finally for the dessert, I got Halwa which is kinda carrot and smt else which I'm not sure about cooked warm and sweet served with 2 ice cream.
