We chose Aldwinckles for our small wedding reception. I saw photos of the courtyard online and the venue is so “instagrammable” that I had to have our party there. Moragh was incredible. She is super responsive and made sure everything was well planned out and organised. Nothing was too much bother! There was extra attention to detail decorations which we really appreciated. We had private hire of the coffee house with afternoon tea and a variety of drinks. It was very reasonably priced. Our guests commented how lovely the afternoon tea was. The sandwiches were well received and cakes homemade. The drinks flowed and were quickly topped up. Everything was perfect and I recommend Aldwinckles as a intimate wedding and party venue.

This is a beautiful little haven for some peace and quiet during the week. I went for breakfast this morning and was served by friendly staff and enjoyed some delightful food in a lovely atmosphere. I'd highly recommend this cosy place. I'll be back another time for try out the lunch bites

A lovely little find. We popped in here for lunch and really enjoyed our visit. It's very small but quaint and cosy. Delicious food and a good selection. The coffee was great too.

I am sorry to give Aldwinkles only two stars, but our experience was pretty disappointing. Imagining the Mexican Bean Quesadilla turned out to be baked beans with a few kidney beans and one sweetcorn kernel, but primarily a small quantity of baked beans and similarly quantity of cheese inside a toasted wrap. The salad was actually a garnish of three small leaves and two halves of cherry tomato. There were half a dozen crips. My husband's goats cheese roll was better, but economies are clearly being made and £8 for baked beans inside a wrap is unacceptable....unless it's made from proper ingredients...

The food was fairly decent, however, the coffee was incredibly disappointing. The taste was noticeably underwhelming and lacked any complexity, to add insult to injury, it was made using a touch-button machine. Despite this, it was charged at a barista-level price of £5, which felt like an absolute rip-off. Overall, it was a thoroughly underwhelming experience and I do not plan on returning. For a truly good cup of coffee in the area, I would highly recommend The Garage Bakery, where you can enjoy a handcrafted coffee with incredible flavour at the same...
