Stepping into this cafe felt like a warm embrace, and the food certainly followed suit. Let's start with the star of the show: their sourdough bread. Truly exceptional! It possessed that perfect balance of a wonderfully chewy crust and a slightly tangy, airy interior. Encasing a generous, gooey cheese filling, the cheese toasties were simply divine – a comforting classic elevated by the quality of the bread. Each bite was a satisfying symphony of textures and flavors. The fresh cappuccino was equally impressive. The espresso was rich and robust, perfectly complemented by velvety smooth, expertly frothed milk. It was the ideal accompaniment to the savory toasties, a little moment of caffeinated bliss. Then came Alison's Cape Malay chicken curry. This dish was a fragrant journey for the senses. The blend of spices was aromatic and warming, offering a delightful complexity without being overpowering. The chicken was tender, and the sauce had a lovely depth of flavor that hinted at both sweetness and spice. It was clear that this was a dish made with care and attention to detail. Finally, the Americano coffee was a solid offering – strong, smooth, and exactly what you'd expect. A reliable choice to round off the meal. Overall, this cafe is a gem. The standout sourdough bread alone is worth a visit, and when paired with their delicious cheese toasties, fresh coffee, and flavourful curry, it makes for a truly memorable experience. I highly recommend seeking this place out for a comforting and...

Absolutely excellent and healthy 'Food with Attitude' . This gem of a healthy eating venue opened up on a lovely corner spot (with a long lasting local heritage) in my street and with a great view of the town and church. An absolutely excellent place for lunch on a rainy day. The food in this new place was as good as I remember from visits to their less central prior venue before. Excellently chosen selection of ingredients prepared with care, very colourful plate, nutrition and visual pleasure at its best.

I chose the 'Goat Bowl' salad pictured (does not contain Goat..) The dish was very well balanced, an ultra discreet fine dressing, just the right combination of chicken meat protein, pulses, salads, grains, leaves and vegetables; every ingredient done perfectly... why anyone would eat so-called ' fast food' in the town when you can eat like this for very fair prices indeed is beyond my understanding..

Just great again to see another high quality, good value personal owner managed enterprise doing well. If you're local or visiting Market Harborough and you have not been yet... it's a must.

Called by for lunch with my daughter - this is a lovely, family run, friendly place with a great selection of salads, sandwiches and light bites with a South African influence. The hot and cold drink offerings include the usual coffees and hot chocolate with a choice of milks, and a point of note - all cakes/ cookies are gluten free. My chicken satay sarnie, made using Turkish bread, hot griddled chicken breast, baby spinach and lashings of sweet and subtly spicy sauce, was absolutely delicious. It was made fresh to order and generously sized. My daughter had a Halloumi soul bowl, which comprised of generous portions of spiced chickpeas, couscous and red cabbage slaw, topped with a slab of griddled Halloumi. That too was delicious and very filling. The two meals accompanied by two hot chocolates, came to £25 - good value for such a tasty and substantial lunch. Don’t be deterred by the size of this cafe as there is plenty of seating...

The food was delicious. We enjoyed 2 of their salads. One with chicken, the other with falafel both were served with a selection of crunchy dressed salads, we both commented on how tasty and filling they were. I particularly liked the cauliflower 'coronation' type salad with chick peas and raisins in a mustard type dressing. I would of preferred my roibos tea in a pot, so that I could of had another cup of tea, but apart from that the service and food was of a high standard. I left a tip, in cash, rather that put it through the card machine. I would highly recommend the Two Old Goats cafe.

What a delightful cafe. I’ve been meaning to come inside the numerous times walking past but always felt nervous about taking a big pram inside. Our daughter is a little older now. We had a lovely late breakfast. They were so accommodating and really friendly. My husband particularly enjoyed his Masala scrambled eggs. And our coffees were spot on. You can tell when owner takes pride in their business. We will DEFINITELY come again.
