I called in yesterday on a day trip to Market Harborough. What a delightful place! It has a thoughtfully and beautifully designed interior, making excellent use of the unexpected venue's small space. It is very central ... a gem, almost hiding in an alley at the side of the large church (near the theatre and the famous old grammar school at the heart of the town). Very friendly service. I had coffee, and, the highlight of my day, some gorgeous banana and almond butter on sourdough toast. The walls are brimming with arts and crafts which you can buy. It was a cold March day so I wasn't tempted to sit outside, but the seating in the courtyard does looks splendid and I can imagine that being very vibrant in summer. The egg was cold and the bread just a bit lack lustre. Somewhere like this would be amazing if they had their own sourdoughs with interesting flavours.
