Grounded Kitchen — Restaurant in Harborough

We placed an order for delivery via Uber Eats at 6:25pm today. Google, Ubert Eats, and Grounded Kitchen MH's own Facebook page all said the restaurant was open until 8pm today. the ETA on our order was 6:55 to 7:15pm... around 7:30 we figured something was wrong, so we called the restaurant - 12 times, with no response. Finally at 7:45 we figured we should just drive there to pick up our food in person since they were closing soon... only to find the place completely closed. Bear in mind, Google + Uber Eats + Facebook all said the shop should have been open for another 15 minutes still! So now our money is gone and we can't cancel the order which we never received, because it's still showing as "expected delivery at 6:55pm" (over an hour ago now).

Sucks even more because we actually love this place, it's our favourite takeaway in town... well,...

Really strange experience. Not sure if the staff were friends stepping in to help or if they’re regular staff but it was very poor. The staff had no idea what was going on, everyone was moving extremely slowly and it wasn’t busy at all. Our order was forgotten and we waited 30 minutes, when our order arrived it was wrong (despite reminding them once they had forgotten) and my bao bun was so soggy I couldn’t pick it up. The veg tasted off and the food really wasn’t up to scratch at all. My partner has suffered a really upset stomach since our meal. Such a shame, was really excited to try!! We had a great experience at Grounded Kitchen in Market Harborough. The menu is quite varied, and they cater to a wide variety, including veggie, vegan, fish and meats. The staff were super polite and helped us choose the dishes. The Bao were the star of the show, delicious! Our visit was at lunchtime on a Saturday in January, and we had no trouble getting sat inside. There’s space for around 12 people with seating at the front (to peoplewatch) or in the back.
