Caffè Nero — Restaurant in Hastings

The customer service in this store is absolutely shocking. The staff stands around chatting about their personal lives. May I add inappropriate details at times, whilst people stand in the queue, very patiently anticipating to be served their coffee. Half the time there’s three of them behind the counter and only one person is taking the orders whilst also making the drinks which makes the wait time. Absolutely ridiculous. today, whilst the girl was making my coffee with only one hand, she had her phone in the other whilst reading out personal messages, to be honest it’s very disappointing as the coffee is actually quite nice really let the store down. You’re never greeted as you walk into the store Nora, you ever thanked for waiting, and I’ve said previously whilst one member of staff is often serving the others are almost nearly chatting or just pottering about doing nothing and it’s very frustrating when you’re standing there in a rush. So disappointed, I’d rather just go over to Costa which is literally opposite...

Good location and plenty of outdoor seating. It is always clean and tidy inside and the staff are always polite. Not great seating inside, the space is used weirdly and is a bit of a jumble with not enough seats for tables. Could definitely benefit from a different layout in colder months. Also, on a few occasions I've asked for drinks to be made a bit cooler and they're either scalding hot or really weak and gross, which is annoying, as sometimes you want to be able to drink a drink relatively soon after purchasing. Perhaps the best option here is to not ask for modifications.

They have a great app which is simple to use and they usually have promotions on food or drink!

Went here for Coffee as I had a Compare the Market discount code, even though there was only one person in front of us paying, the person serving shouted down to us to ask what we wanted while we were still obviously looking at the menu instead of just waiting for us to get to the till 🤷🏻 went to use the discount code and it wouldn't work, tried to connect to the WiFi and it was so stupidly long winded I gave up, while trying to do this the person serving us was getting really impatient and huffy even though there was only one other person behind us and someone else behind the counter anyway so I just paid quickly and sat down. The whole place is shabby and run down, including broken uneven flooring and all the chairs and table felt sticky. Had to use the disabled/baby changing toilet which was also really grim as it's just left open for...
