Cake Room — Restaurant in Hastings

Sadly, we were super disappointed! I went to change our baby in their HUGE bathroom and had to change him on a mat on the floor which is the first time this has ever happened. I don’t understand why, in such a large bathroom, they can’t just put a baby changing unit up. It was really horrible and unhygienic to kneel on the floor in a bathroom changing a baby. Love going to the Cake Room, we go most weeks and always love it, such tasty food and the almond croissant is to die for, they offer so many choices of drinks with milk alternatives and decaf options which was great for me. The tuna melt is my go to and is super tasty, it also comes with yummy veggie crisps which themselves taste great. I've also tried the smoothies which are perfect. We love cake rooms, we have been coming here for years - However one thing that really bothers us, and others I have spoken to and puts us off is the charge for a babychino. It might sound silly but nearly £2 for a single espresso sized cup of Luke warm milk is very steep. Babychinos are free in the vast majority of coffee shops in Hastings as it brings families in and as it is in theory the milk left over from the other coffees already being made it feels a little cheeky to charge so much.
