Most probably one of the worst restaurants to visit on a resort.
The staff take ages to greet you, when they do it’s hit and miss whether they give you an actual menu or just ask you to order on the app. They say you can order with the waitress but every single one of them just completely ignore you.
Weirdly enough, they seem to clear all the tables for customers coming into the restaurant but provide 0 service to those already within the restaurant.
We ordered on the app because after waiting 15 minutes for any kind of service we just done it that way.
If you have any intolerances you can’t remove ingredients from items . You can upgrade such as chips instead of crisps etc but they don’t cater at all for intolerances on the app.
I ordered a sandwhich (basically everything comes with cheese)
I went up to the bar to be told to go and find a waitress to discuss allergies etc. I had to flag one down who wanted me to show them the physical order on the app to go and tell the chef.
Oh and if you do somehow order with a waitress (after getting up to locate one) they seem to say to use the app rather than with them. They then ask you to pay at the bar and you can’t pay with them even though other tables from different waitresses got given the bill so they physically don’t want you to order with them even though they are carrying around tablet devices to order the food and drink orders.
The food itself at breakfast is definitely questionable and not that pleasant
The food at lunchtime is better and they have good deals on at the time of this review.
The service to actually get the food is extremely long. Well over 30 minute wait for a few sandwiches when the restaurant is pretty much empty.
They definitely need to look into the service and update the app but you can tell because of the service that’s why not many people...

4 of us ate here today. 2 children and 2 adults. 3 of the group have food allergies. The server just told us to scan the QR code and have a look, it was very complicated. Then the server took ages to come back to us to take our order. I had to ask for the kids activity packs. When the food arrived the child's burger was burnt to a crisp, she couldn't eat it. The peas had something white on them, were mushy on the outside but cold on the inside. The other child had brocoli on hers which had brown bits on it and was so hard you couldn't actually cut it. She then tried to bite through it but gave up, it was rock hard. Adults had hot dog and chips, the hot dog was good but chips were average, cold and mushy. Children's drinks come in glasses which to me is silly. Cold glassed for kids is going to end up in spillages the children were 2.5 and 7. When we booked we added a note on the booking saying about the allergens but the server was unaware, we also added a note to say it was our daughters 7th birthday but nothing again was mentioned. After the not so great main courses we didn't bother with deserts and decided to head back to the caravan for desert instead. We asked for the bill, waited 20 mins and the server never came back. We then flagged down another member of staff who finally bought it over. I won't...
Read moreAte here yesterday, I had the lasagne for my main meal and I really enjoyed it. My partner however had the hunters chicken and the chicken looked quite small and circular shaped. He said it was hard around the edges like it had been microwaved. The worse part was dessert, we ordered the toasted marshmallow brownie, when it came out it looked good. There was melted chocolate sauce and toasted marshmallows on top. But when we cut into the brownie, it was hard. When we ate it, it was cold and dense. I thought it would be nice warm and soft. It tasted ok, but could of been so much better. When the waiter came over and asked how it was and I told him it wasn’t very nice, he did not apologise, he just said I wouldn’t know because he hasn’t had it before. I said it was alright but could be better if warmed up throughout. He didn’t offer to get us anything else, he just said he’d tell the chef and that was pretty much it. I now wish I asked for some money off as that ruined the overall experience for me and I wish I took down the waiters name, because he should be trained better on how to deal with consumers or at least try your own food! It’s ok if you are expecting Whetherspoons standard of food. If I was to go back to Combe Haven, personally I would go off site to have a nice...
