The Rainbow Restaurant — Restaurant in Hastings

We visited yesterday, having tried other fish and chips restaurants in the area previously, so we thought we would try The Rainbow Restaurant for a change.. the food was nice and hot when it arrived.. we did not have a long wait.. quite cheap looking cheeseburgers for the children, but they had clear plates, which is a very good sign! Us adults' fish and chips were good, good portion sizes and freshly cooked.. the restaurant was clean, plenty of staff working, so we were tended to promptly.. the toilet facilities were upstairs, through another seating area, which were clean.. fair prices.. outdoor seating available.. we would go back, but have had a little better elsewhere.. glad we...

Absolutely DISGUSTING chips! The oil they cooked them in needed changing! When the waitress asked if everything was ok and I replied no I didn't like the chips, she said REALLY? (with a tone in her voice) I said no I thought they were horrible, she came back with completely the wrong reply which was, oh well I think they're great and shrugged her shoulders and walked away. That is not the way to talk to customers by any standard! Based just on the food my advice would be go elsewhere and as far as that particular member of staff goes she most certainly wouldn't be...

Today I had my first ever meal in The Rainbow Restaurant. I was really impressed by the restaurant on the whole. The restaurant was very clean and tidy, the staff were very friendly and welcoming and hygiene was very important to them at the restaurant. They always made sure the tables were clean and service was very efficient. We didn’t have to wait too long for food and were very looked after. The food was tasty too. I would definitely go back there again and would highly recommend...
