Golden Spoon Thai Restaurant — Restaurant in Hinckley and Bosworth

Soooooooo over priced. Holy moly!! You get next to no food, teeny tiny portions (not exaggerating at least half the size of every other take-away) you pay at least £2 more for each dish than you would anywhere else. AND the quality is shockingly poor. I ordered food about £50 for 2 people assuming we would have seconds, maybe thirds the next day. There was barely enough for a portion each, and we've had to eat a second time tonight, and both meals were terrible quality, undercooked dumplings, over cooked squid, wrong tasting thai curries with cucumber? Almost 0 veg, there were only 4 prawn toasts in a portion, and it had little to no flavour.

... Neither of us will eat a huge meal, and saying there was barely enough for two portions in £50 worth of food from a takeaway is saying a lot. I'm never buying from here again, I have no idea why...

The freshness, colour and varying tastes of dishes were amazing. The mix starter was great due to its variety. I would definitely recommend the Green Thai Veg Curry and the Red Thai Chicken Curry. The latter was surprisingly fiery, but right down my street!

The decor of restaurant was beautiful and elegant and created the mood that you were genuinely in a different place! I went with friends but definitely will take my wife and kids next time!

Good Thai milk tea, would say authentic but it’s really overly sweet, couldn’t ask for lesser sweet as pre-made. Chuchee amd Massaman came as a same colour and taste similar, chuchee should be redder and more spicy but it’s good enough. Although menu said river prawn, it’s not. It’s wild red shrimp which is different in price and texture. Portion is great compared to price, There might be some typo in menu, like “i” and “L” I tried to figure out what pia kung is and I think it’s probably Pla kung ?
