We had the unfortunate experience of dining here tonight and it was one of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had.
A chavvy waitress with an attitude and chip on her shoulder took our order and we were then told the kitchen had lost it so had to take the order again.
This meant a 45 minute wait for our food and others arriving to the restaurant after us received their food and finished it before we even got ours.
The waitress who made the mistake with our order was very unhelpful, unprofessional and apparently untrained - serving prosecco in wine glasses to the bewilderment of her customers. She just left them the bottle without a cooler.
She also did not want to take responsibility for her actions and left it to other staff to correct and make good her ridiculous gaffe. I have never heard of a kitchen losing a food order. More likely it never made it to the kitchen in the first place!
We had at least four diffeeent people attending our table for various different reasons. No continuity, you're just a number here! They'll take your money but service doesn't seem to be anywhere near the top of their priorities.
They have too many tables for the space so it makes for a very noisy environment - the acoustics are terrible which only serves to emphasise the barrage of background noise.
When the food eventually arrived it was very average. My pizza was spoilt by the amount of salt they had seemingly poured all over it.
I made my feelings clear only to be greeted with a sarcastic 'thank you' from the waitress as we left the restaurant. At this point, I decided to raise the issues with the manager who said she would address them. Who knows if she was actually listening.
I think it's extremely poor that a national restaurant chain should be operating in this way with this particular member of untrained staff who is clearly not committed to providing good service.
It seemed she resented the customers she served and generally acted like a silly little girl. What an embarrassment to herself and the business she represents. If I acted that way towards the clients I deal with, I would not be in my job for very long.
We thought we would try this restaurant due to the proximity to the cinema but we will not be returning! My advice to others is not to make the mistake in the...
Read moreUp on arrival was even taken to the table just pointed at it and told that it was there. Servers took ages to come and get a drinks order and by that point we wanted to order food as well which appeared to take the man by surprise. Ordered everything I wanted to have a few things changed on my dish the server didn’t even communicate that this was possible just moved on to the next person. We received our starters after a 25 minute wait, which is absolutely ridiculous for a table of 3. We then attempted to get more drinks as we had several staff members look at us but not come over. These drinks then took ages to arrive. Our mains then took a further 30 minutes after having finished our starters. During this time members of staff repeatedly walked into the back of my dads chair making him feel incredibly uncomfortable and annoyed. At not one time did any one apologise. Even when paying it still happened. We were pretty much rushed out of the restaurant. When people repeatedly asked could I get you anything else and cleared drinks off the table we hadn’t finished with and they then hovered whilst I ate my dessert. I’ve never been more uncomfortable in my life. I hadn’t even put my spoon down for 30 seconds before we were presented with the bill. It was only 9:30pm on a Saturday. The restaurant opens much later and people were only just on there starters around us. We were pretty much kicked out...
Read moreGet here early if out for an evening meal, more so from Friday night! This place tends to get busy around 6pm onwards, understandably, so you'll be one of the first in around 5.30 :-)
However, if you are there during a busy evening, be prepared to wait for service. I don't just mean for your food/ drink, but the actual taking of the order throughout the evening.
It's a Prezzo Italian restaurant with a good, clean vibe, offering a modest range on their menu, regardless of time of year. One can ask for no oils or melted butter on ones food and generally they adhere to that if written down correctly.
The queen olive nibbles are nice and generous for the cost, but more than four of you eating might consider ordering two dishes of olives to pick at whilst choosing from their menu.
Desserts are minimal but hit the spot, albeit somewhat overpriced in comparison to other eateries. The children's menu includes a starter, main, dessert and drink, so consider this as an option before ordering drinks if you're with younger family members.
Overall a nice place to eat, if not one of the better ones if you fancy a detailed Italian dish, but maybe give them a call to book a table, rather the turn up, especially...
