Lotus House — Restaurant in Huntingdonshire

Poor service with rude employees and bad communication. The order was over 2 hours late. And when arrived chicken balls were raw and arrived with no sauce. The chips were stone cold. We then rang them and they told us that there was nothing they could do and with a 30 minute phone call they began to tell us all different things such as paying for delivery when we already had payed £38. They told us they were only sending out chicken balls which left the rest of the food stone cold. The food got all sent back. We then waited another hour as they said food was being sent out and we rang them back and they said they was not turning out to us again and hung up whenever we tried talking to them. I don’t live in the area but was staying at a local hotel, phoned for my order to be delivered and asked specifically if they could provide a receipt and was told yes no problem. When the food arrived the driver hadn’t been gievn a receipt, he was very polite and said for me to call the shop back and ask if he could leave me his delivery slip (which was almost like a receipt) but the women said not possible and she’d forgotten to give receipt and if I still wanted it I’d have to drive and get it!! Not at all apologetic, so I said to take the food back (may have been great food but I’ll never know) but poor service from the women on the phone. Clear English speaking, so doubt it...

First time ordered from the Lotus House as we normally go to the China Dragon or Yumi-Yumi however we received their new menu through the post and thought we'd give them a try as the prices were cheaper too.

It's always a risk trying somewhere new as we tend to stick with what we know however THIS WAS THE BEST CHINESE WE HAVE EVER HAD!!

The delivery time was spot on and the food was piping hot, we both have a chow-mein and it was the best we have ever tasted, it was so juicy and flavorsome and the duck spring rolls were filled to perfection.

Will definitely be using the Lotus House...
